By the way, landing a prime time local is key and allows the recruiting process to be synergistic. We have to keep these guys home. Ford used all of his resources on this one.

So there is one of your athletic bigs for '18. Came earlier than we expected but we knew E were in a prime position. Congrats to Ford and Tate for closing athe deal early. Let's hope he sticks with it.... We aren't done with the athletic bigs...

Ralphy is a nice 6'6 player with some handles for a taller frame. Interesting to see if he breaks out for McA HS this year like they are expecting. He gets to the rim which is a bonus.

It is, surprisingly. I'll say this... If he gets his head and attitude right, he could be so much more valuable than he is now. These kids are all so different with different backgrounds, situations, etc; however, I think that being coachable and a good teammate can make or break you as a player. I'm hoping that part gets worked out. There is a reason he bounces around from team to team, school to school. The kid is a really good player but if he can get the part medial to the ears right, he could be really special. That part will be a project for anyone who takes him on.

I know this... we have a few irons in the fire for this upcoming class. '18 class is getting worked hard. They are looking at some athletic bigs, too. These guys never stop recruiting, it's truly amazing! French was the parlay with Goodwin. Kudos to Ford for sticking with French through the process.

You said the insiders don't know and that's why it is quiet...well... My point was that French is signing with us. I know it's an abstract reference but I thought you would be able to decifer the reference. Sorry!

I'm a SLU diehard but I will submit my kids' reaction to the new Thrilliken... 7 yo son - "creepy, very creepy. It's very odd and I hate it and change it immediately!" 9 yo daughter - "so weird, they could have done better. The kids at the Billiken game will be scared and it's going to scare fans away" 11 yo son - "pretty weird but I like that its winking and that the face has dimension. The Billiken doesn't have any muscles. His arms are like sticks!"

This is a solid hire. No doubt we are setup to recruit. I know the guys are working the local kids that need to be worked. You will see some local talent that is worth noting considering and committing to SLU in the near future. We have done a 180 in that department.
