  1. The hedging drives me bananas. An opposing PG with decent quickness, passing prowess, and ability to anticipate will burn the hedge everytime with a slower recovery. Layup city especially with the man-to-man stuff we play. Very little help defense to compensate for the open man in this situation. You guys are right about the fouls, too. What a crappy way to give up a foul. With RL, he doesn't get in position in time on the hedge and gets called for the foul for being in motion. That said, I think RL's defense has improved greatly. You will notice that he is starting to bang down low. He must be hanging out with BC on the weekends. I think making the adjustment to US ball would be tough from a physical standpoint. In high school and college, we played against Europeans pretty regularly in soccer. Those dudes are physical as hell and remember that transition to playing against them all too well. Very difficult adjustment as I am sure RL has had a similar experience here. At least he has a skill set which would be harder to adjust to or acquire compared to playing a more physical game. Nice to see a decent Bills team on the floor on Saturday. I was proud of our boys on Saturday - I hope they keep it up.
  2. It is just like the blue man you see at the Duke games. The Duke guy wears big, silver sunglasses with the suit. Distraction and fun. I thought is was a nice touch with the gorilla.
  3. I hope you are right; however, yesterday's performance only strengthens my point. Look at his trend in production this year (if I had time I would graph it) and it is pretty apparent that his production is very up and down. Better than being down all the time obviously but you never know what you are going to get from him production-wise. I hope he stays consistently productive because we need it badly. I would like us to at least make the A10 tournament.
  4. Gus the refs are going to throw the games Daly - we never get the McCall. Just can't get a shot to drop - bounced off the Remeken. Praying because we Christian but no answer. In the post down-Loe, we try to work the paint but we need the help of a saint. We Reed the play but they Dwayne it. On the next Jett back to Chaifetz to have best player sit out is a shame - the Kwamain attraction. I am shooting this rap video right now on my iPhone. Look for it on YouTube right next to the rapping cop who was posting on here last year. "Saint Louis - stand tall for me"
  5. We would have a better chance of hitting FTs if we shot them granny style. I am so pissed right now.
  6. This performance speaks volumes as to why KM should RS. This season is f'ed.
  7. We are on track to set a low scoring record in a half. Jesus.
  8. Even the ding-dongs calling the game have noticed that Cassity passes on open shots. These guys are tough to listen to.
  9. I guess where he is from 0/0 is 100%.
  10. That kind of contract is completely warranted. Smart move.
  11. Entrepreneurship How can you expect this to be an obtainable degree when they likely cannot spell much less pronounce their own major. We are talking about a mentally dull group of people here. We need degrees like Sports and You or Recreation and Leisure. Physical Education would be a challenging degree for some of these guys being hidden.
  12. I think it is a bit extreme to say Paul isn't a D-1 player. I would agree that he shouldn't be on the floor when you are playing against super-athletes.
  13. I don't think anyone is throwing Kyle under the bus for a bad season but the objective data shows that he is inconsistent. Part of being a veteran player warrants the expectation of consistent play. The subjective viewpoint of his game would also point to him being inconsistent. One thing he is consistent upon is his ability to give 110% on the floor in terms of effort; however, sometimes effort is not translated into production. You have to produce to win and medals aren't given for effort the last I looked.
  14. While I agree with most of what you have to say, I would say that passing up good shots can be just as bad a taking bad shots. Sometimes not looking to shoot is equivalent to taking bad shots in my opinion.
  15. I completely agree with you. This year is shot. Onto the next year. Let the frosh learn without Kwamain in the games (but learning from him in practice and able to implement what they learn from him in the games without him taking their minutes right now) so they are better prepared in the future.
  16. Cassity is the most inconsistent player on this team. I really wish he would grow a set, especially in games when it counts. He frustrates me so much - almost to Husak levels. He doesn't do anything unless the game is practically lost already.
  17. We beat Temple but lost to the officials. That translates into a loss on our record. I am pissed right now!
