We were up 17.. but the entire game it was around 12 after we went up 12 to start... they outscored us in the second half (while also using a 7 man rotation). I agree we need to get healthy, absolutely. And not usually accustomed to complaining after wins.. just cannot comprehend what Crews is doing out there half of the time. He went without subs for 12 mins straight at one point. We aren't missing any bigs and still got demolished on the boards. On offense, we're living or dying by the 3. Just swing it around the outside until someone decides to let it fly.. it's frustrating to watch. Also tired of hearing, "Well, we don't match-up with (team with smaller forwards) well"... Who says we have to be the ones that don't match-up? Remember Memphis? Have you guys seen VCU? KM can't come back soon enough.

Why, should we have to wait to get embarrassed at home again a la the Santa Clara game? SIUC is terrible. Horrible, & they played us even for 35 minutes. That is cause for concern. Sorry.

You can't know anything if he doesn't play at all? Can you really disagree with any of these clearly laid out reasons? Loe looked good for the first 5 minutes of the second half, that's it.

If we are going to find out if he's a player, it's going to be against the SIUCs of the world, if no one else... Did you actually like what you saw out there from the other bigs? From the team as a whole? Against a zone defense? We played 6 guys (and JJ, who shouldn't have been out there at all). But yea, it's nuts to ask why JM didn't play. Bill Russell comparisons aside.

Did you watch Loe try and play defense? Or bang down low? Did Crews not just say after the KU game he screwed up and should have given, and will give, Manning more time?

It should be all criticism, unless he's commending the 6 guys who played the entire game, including a crippled JJ, for busting their asses. Their tallest guy was what, 6'6", and we leave our 7-footer on the bench the entire game (as they are pounding us on the boards). Feel good win.

Great post. I guess it's better to get this beatdown out of the way now before going into A&M Monday. If I would have gone into that game with the expectations I had pre-tip last night... let's just say I would not have wanted to be stuck in KC/enemy territory for the aftermath. Expectations lowered, but hopefully we can still regain some composure and scrap one out vs. A&M, take our licks vs. KU. Hard week of practice. Let's go.
