  1. I thought Yuri played less minutes than the stat sheet showed 39.  Somehow coach Ford needs to find more minutes of rest for Yuri.

I thought Hargrove earned more playing time than 9 minutes last night.

Our team is deep enough when 1 player struggles, Perkins, there are others such as Parker, Hargrove and Thatch that can pick them up.  Scoring 90 against a good team when Perkins only scores 2 is something special.

This team must win 1 of these neutral court games I expect that from this team coach Ford has assembled, no excuses.

  2. Time to rest my heart for a few minutes fun half.

For a team that cannot shoot the 3’s Memphis is hitting them over 40 percent.

No home cooking from the officiating luckily we are deep this season.

I think Perkins sees more shots in the second half Jimerson is hurting them.

Pickett shows off his SEC strength every night.

Heckling college kids is O-D-D when a fan is no longer in college. Odd with a capital O. It’s part of the agreement when you walk across the stage at graduation. You give up the right to do that and not be looked at like you’re a psychopath.

Fans, refs, and coaches are fair game. I’m all about a good zing, but heckling specific players on a team is strange. Just weird. If for instance, a 30 year old read what Kendric Davis said (he’s one of the best players in the country, he deserves to be confident) and decides to talk tomorrow night, send that person to an insane asylum

There were 2 40 + men Evansville fans heckling the student section because the students were heckling them.

My problem with the Evansville fans were that they were motioning the students to come over and get them acting like tough guys instead of giving back to them.

The 2 Evansville fans were over the top with their cheering for their team this earned the heckling.

The way I see it there adults and those are kids on their home court ignore them.

I completely disagree with heckling refs or players. It’s something I’ve just never done. Sit quietly and be respectful

You would not like sitting next to my wife and I.

We give it to the refs for bad calls, over the top visiting team fans and coaches.

You can do all of that without profanity and disrespect.

Memphis is ranked 6th in experience, SLU 10th. It’s a strength of both teams. Memphis plays only seniors and super seniors.

My point is experienced that has played and practiced together in the same system that is why I did not name Forrester and Pickett.

Yuri 3 years, Jimerson 3 years, Thatch 3 years Hargrove 3 years Perkins 2 years and Okoro 2 years in the same system, how does Memphis compare to that?

Coach Ford has already built a team to beat a team at home like Memphis.  See LSU.  I think last year's late game struggles have scarred us so much we have forgotten how well we started the season two years ago.

Kendric Davis is a proven all-conference player who gives Memphis the point guard they never had last year.  Should be a good game.

Good post, the differences last season was not having Perkins and relying on a freshman to fill that position and Okoro was trying to find himself.

I did not expect the Billikens to beat Auburn last season however I expected the Billikens to beat LSU which proves your point.

  7. If our team cannot beat Memphis then what kind of team must coach Ford build to beat a team at home like Memphis.

One of the Billikens biggest advantage compared to Memphis is good experienced players such as Collins, Jimerson, Okoro, Perkins, Thatch, Hargrove have played and practiced together for years.  It is time for these players to take advantage of that at home with a team like Memphis.

Because of experience, 3 point shooting, and depth I expect these players to win a game like this at home because if not now, when?

    No more excuses.

  8. In the last 10 minutes Evansville had nothing in the tank they were spent.

The Billikens wore them out and this team should and the Billikens dominated down the stretch.

When the coach talks about Perkins being 70 percent I take away that Perkins game is only 70 percent because dribble drives to the basket that he normally makes he missed those shots.

Our team is a great 3 point shooting team with Perkins and Jimerson it’s a thing of beauty to watch those 2 shoot.

I thought Yuri took too many shots on a off shooting night but he had double digit assists so I shouldn’t feel that way.

Another nice outing at Chaifetz tonight let’s get it done on Tuesday.  SLU has veterans that have played together for a while Memphis does not no excuses win at home.
