  1. Wow how far he has fallen, he has to go to Hampton to be a featured player, this has to be a joke or am I missing something? Depaul, Butler, Loyola, Drake, Missouri State, Murray State we’re not interested? Each day and it’s just my opinion I believe there were some team issues with more than one player that split the locker room and the house is being self cleaned by the transfer portal. The team played really well at the beginning of the A10 season and then fell apart. More and more I feel that this is for the best.
  2. At first I was upset about the big schools wanting their own league and tournament. I have changed my mind it is time. A SLU education is good enough compensation to play basketball for 4 years at SLU. For the fans that want to watch the NBA minor league schools knock yourself out but never call your players students or amateurs. There would be almost 300 D1 schools and the A10 would be a top league if the big schools have their semi pro league. I am a SLU fan for real student athletes, SLU has nothing in common with schools that want to pay 200k for players. In the end real college players will win out because money corrupts and the problems money causes with players in the pros will be an issue in the college semi pro league. Fans will want to watch real students playing instead of dealing with a semi pro players. CBFan stands for College Ball Fan I dislike pro sports because of players behavior, strikes and greed.
  3. Perfectly said my feelings exactly. Excellent post. Yuri left the team high and dry. The only way I cheer for Yuri is if he gives the SLU fans money back who want it otherwise he is a snake.
  4. Trollers got to troll. He’s lonely and getting the bad attention he craves. The troll has never had a source but today he does, shocker.
  5. How predictable for troll labs to post bs like this, I never saw that coming from the troll, lol. Troll labs tell who your source is if you want people to believe you.
  6. What irritates me the most is that SLU was most likely the only school that could give a freshman a starting point guard position. That included offensive finishers to pad his assist stats. He honed in his game and now he is in the Portal. I will not miss all of his turnovers and dribble drives into bigs that resulted in turnovers. I will miss his great assists. The coaches quit for better money and now the players what a mess D1 basketball is.
  7. How disappointing. I wish Yuri lots of turnovers.
  8. Stu just tweeted Yuri is in the portal.
  9. The psycho did not know Bell or the SLU program. Bell was productive his freshman year. He was a big part of beating Richmond and Rhode Island on the road. Had he came back he would have played a lot and SLU would have had 2 centers that could shoot free throws.
  10. With a name like Dickey must have been one tough Nutt growing up. Interesting about who his brother Houston is, the other Nutt.
  11. I trust what you post so I will have to hope that a good chance of playing a lot of minutes on a good team in front of his parents will convince Turnbull to play for SLU. Matta is a good coach and will get Butler dancing eventually. Thank you for the update
  12. I understand your feelings about the term starters. My feeling is Perkins will be announced as the starting 5 for every game though I have no idea how many minutes he will get. That will depend if his knee is 100 percent ready and his stamina. I have a short attention span I really needed Conner Turnbull to announce today.
  13. Fair enough but my thinking with my post is that he did not come back to play behind anyone. Less minutes but starting. Perkins has said he will be 100 percent ready before the season, enough said.
  14. It will be interesting what role Javon will play. Javon can play himself into a starting role. The givens are Okoro, Collins, Jimerson, and Perkins so may the best player win between Thatch, Pickett, Parker.
  15. It was a good post before the comma. I think you are a fan of both teams however how much NCAA tournament experienced players did St. Peter’s have? Playing in the SEC for 4 years gives him better experience than the 2 first round big dance losses. The Billikens have a tough away non conference schedule one against Auburn he will help. The make up of a strong local presence on this team will be interesting. If the Billikens win the A10 and make it to the sweet 16 then that will bring some serious attention to St. Louis area recruits.
  16. I posted after the game that I thought Jordan was traumatized after committing the foul and was not thinking clearly when he did not block out. I believe his offensive production decreased as the season went on and I thought Jordan was feeling the pressure. I hope he does good in school and gets on a team that can prep Jordan to go pro.
  17. Welcome Larry Jr so glad to have you. Looking forward to seeing you and your family at Chaifetz. Now if Turnbull commits tomorrow it will be a perfect week.
  18. Not surprising but I wished it would have worked out with SLU.
  19. Yes you can and the answer is I am not dinging anyone, your word choice. The context of my post was a possible state of mind with Jordan and I used 3 events in one game near the end of the season in around a 5 minute time period. The thread is about theories of what led to Jordan probably not coming back and my feeling is Jordan just not a happy person right now and it effects his play. I wish Jordan the best I really like him but at the same time I have empathy for him.
  20. Jordan’s job in the offense was to create his own shot as teams concentrated on Jimerson chasing Jimerson around the court. Jordan’s 3 point shot was never consistent enough like Jimerson to set a bunch screens for him so go out create and finish. Jordan created a lot of space for a shot but had trouble finishing. I think Jordan pressed and things got worse. The St.B game was a good indicator that Jordan’s mind was not in the game, he fouled an 80 percent free throw shooter in the last second then forgets to block out the shooter that almost costs SLU the win, and then the cheerleader incident. The wife and I cheered for Jordan as load as we could so he could hear us because he just did not seem to be very happy. I wish Jordan the best he has his whole life in front of him. I feel another year as a Billiken his shooting would have improved.
  21. I hope your right followed by Turnbull on Wednesday so each recruit has their day. If that happens my only concern is defending other teams big players but hopefully the great offense overcomes that. That would put the number of area high school players at 8.
  22. If they sign Turnbull the area player roster gets even larger so far Thames, Kramer, Pickett, Perkins, Hargrove, Collins, in state Thatch.
  23. Okoro, Perkins, Jimerson, Thatch, Collins.
  24. I feel pretty confident that it won’t be Turnbull because he canceled his visit with Missouri.
