You don't get it though. Willie was nothing short of a pain in the ass his entire time at SLU. He was already going to be academically ineligible when the situation happened. He got away with a lot of shananigans during his short time here. Now let me be clear - Willie isn't a bad guy per se. He's was extremely immature while at SLU and has grown up these last few years. But it isn't hard to figure out why some people view him as a fool or idiot. Everyone around the program viewed him in the same light when he was here.

Willie Reed is the definition of a fool. He's not a bad guy. He is a fool.

What's your point? And his name is Kwamain.

Nope. He's very much in play. He's here now. -

We must remember that he is a 6'5 SG. He'll likely have a height advantage in most games. -
Henriquez committed earlier tonight

I'm pretty sure he posts here too

Multiple people have told me they expect Welmer to be a stud based on how he has looked recently. I'm still skeptical, but we shall see.

True story behind Jayson Tatum not committing to SLU
For-DaLove replied to Billikids's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
Not sure about Majerus, but I'm fairly confident he would've came here if Ford was our coach throughout the recruitment process. As others have said, though, it is water under the bridge at this point. I do think he will regret his decision at some point in his life. It may take 20 years but it will happen. Larry Hughes Jr. will be a legend around these parts and Tatum will be just another dude who was really good at basketball and made the league. -
True story behind Jayson Tatum not committing to SLU

The dad as an assistant angle has been blown completely out of proportion. I was for hiring his father, but that would NOT have guaranteed his commitment. In fact, it's very possible it would have sealed the deal against us. Jayson's mother was in control the entire time. If you didn't already know that then you likely know very little about the whole situation. -
True story behind Jayson Tatum not committing to SLU

That is simply not true. Sorry. -
Except he's widely known as an incredible X's and O's coach. Using a 34 second collapse to cast a coach as a bad in game coach is nothing short of absurd. He's one of the best coaches in the country. What he's accomplished at Northern Iowa is incredible.

Whew! Thank goodness some on this board can renew their tickets since the 20 year old is leaving!
-
Will not be renewing season tickets

Don't worry, the program will survive without the $100 contribution from your young alumni tickets. -

This is accurate. It is actually crazy how close it was to happening. This should go down as the biggest failure of Jim Crews

Believe it or not, the Tatum stuff was not a charade. We were in it until he decided a couple of days before making his announcement. In the weeks leading up to his decision it sounded like he was going to stay home, but he obviously changed course.

It says a lot about me. Your inability to understand the basics of how the funding for college athletics works say a lot more about you, though.

From 2 very committed boosters who are most certainly not you, jackass.

If we're 6-1 after the Wichita State game will you be happy? Honest question. You're kind of contradicting yourself. You say how far we've fallen and how you see no reason to take positives from this game, yet you say you think we're better than last season. That seems like a huge positive to me. Especially because I think we're much better than last year.
-
We both know that's a 30-40 point loss last season. We also know it was closer than the final score. We have a lot to work on, but I'm encouraged by what I saw. We can beat Wichita State.

Sorry if there's already a similar thread, but I didn't see it. SIUE is in a tight game with a good Butler team. Butler leads 39-38 at half.
