  1. Jackie- Yes I've had my tix for 2 years because Chafeitz has been around for 2 years. If youve had yours longer than you really have some good sh*t to smoke.
  2. All I said was we cant be an NCAA tournament team with him starting. But its been much more than 2 games. Hopefully the aussie can take some of his minutes going forward. I think you must be smoking by arguing with me. Gimme what you smoke. If by beasts you mean fans that are having a good time, heckling the refs, cheering on SLU...yes we are beasts. Jackie- lets exchange seats for a game, you wont return to the nosebleeds.
  3. Clock-. I base my opinion (and MANY others that just dont post on here) that Cassity is mediocre by his play ALL of last season and into this year (not skewed). Im not ignoring the facts, look it up...the guy is AVERAGE. That is it. In fact, go beyond that and actually watch him play...AVERAGE. SLUs Donors should have waited for KC to play here. They could have built the Arena at 1/4 the cost by using his bricks. Instead of it being called Chafeitz Arena it could be Cassity Arena. I guess timing is everything. And by me missing 1 exhibition game where he makes 4 shots hardly nullifies my argument. Only supports that fact that you are a clown. My point is he made ZERO jump shots in the 2nd game...0/7 (yes he made 2 open lay-ins..good job) and I believe he was 0/2 from the free throw line as well (unless he made it back to the line and I missed it). But I really hope you arent resting your hope in making 4 freaking shots in some exhibition game. you are a joke. I'll bring my hardhat to section 108 this Saturday.
  4. First, other teams dont "fail" to guard him...they intend not to guard him. Second, after only 2 games stats are skewed and misleading. I was out of town for the first game to see his 4/6 (I dont comment on things I dont witness) but for his 2/9 in the second game was horrible. Both shots were open layups from someone driving and pulling the defense away in the last 4 minutes. Outside of 2 ft he was O'fer. Right? Its not all about stats. That coupled with most games last year, it is BRICK CITY. Now Im a bad fan because I acknowledge that one of our players is mediocre!?!?! Newsflash, we haven't been to the NCAA tournament since 2000...we've had a couple mediocre players come through here. KC is one of them. You are probably one of those pansys that feels everyone wins, nobody loses. KC doesnt miss shots, he just doesnt make them. Okay, now I get it. No need to respond. What a great Billiken fan you are.
  5. Eastside- swing by the Rec with a couple protein bars around 5pm...I'll be ready for Chicago.
  6. Im not the only one that can write sarcastic comments but you definitely are the only one that doesnt understand them. Its somewhat sad that you didnt pick up on the sarcasm. Its either that you have never played basketball and thus really thought a box and 1 was meant to let 1 person have open shots or you have zero reading comprehension. Im hoping its not the latter considering I graduated from the same college as you....yikes. Again, back to your reading comprehension. Go back and re-read...check that, have someone read to you. I clearly state that he has good size but is slower, doesn't create his own shot or shots for others. One would think that to log big minutes you bring some threat to the floor on offense or you're a great defender. Whats the opposite of a triple threat? KC. I never say he shouldnt have a role on the team. Just not a big role. I hope you really dont believe that Rickma can't recruit a better player or one of the freshman can't move ahead of him. Although we may finish in the middle of the pack this year, Im very optimistic about the young players and the future. I stick to my opinion that if KC is still starting next yr then we have made no progress as a program. Hopefully the Aussie can fill that spot. Now judging by your lack of analytical skills and basketball knowledge, Im fully prepared to listen to you post msgs about me "eating my words" anytime KC knocks down 1-2 shots in a game. All that I ask is that your mom continues to proof read your posts. thanks.
  7. Clock Tower you're a moron. The "box and 1 (to beg KC to shoot)" is called sarcasm. I would say that you know nothing about basketball but now Im a little more worried about your reading abilities. Try to read between the lines and pick up on a writer's sarcasm. idiot. I changed the meaning of a box and 1 from 4 man zone and man to man on the best player on the floor to man to man and not guarding KC. Geezus. As for passing up open shots, I BEG KC not to shoot. But you shouldnt be giving good minutes to a guard that can't knock down an open shot and basically just makes perimeter passes to keep the offense running. And no ClockTower, I wouldnt want him taking shots from KM but dont you think KM would get better looks if he played alongside someone that the defense had to respect? Someone who could hit an open shot? A little lesson for you Clocktower, "taking shots from KM" isnt shooting a wide open jumper..its creating your own shot, forcing shots up, or something in between. Rickma will have other options in the future, he wont have to start KC. And yes, EastSide I do like the Aussie...he will be good and much better than KC down the road. Good size, nice stroke. Clocktower, again, your "1,2,3" rationale is just ridiculous as far as offense goes. He doesn't play point and based on their offense the 1,2,3 essentially all get the same "looks on the court" by running a motion offense. They all have the top or start at the bottom coming off a screen and then screen over. Gimme a break. The only positive I can say about your post is that you probably use spell check or have your mom proof read it. thanks mom.
  8. Jackie- Tell your eye doctor that you have 200 section nose bleed seats at Chafeitz and you need your eyes checked. He might be tall and have floppy and hair but he aint Larry Bird. Whats worse than the 26% is that he actually passes up a lot of open shots. So that statistic is actually worse than it sounds...he isnt some guy just jacking up 3 pointers. The other team basically begs him to shoot. I believe the opponents run a box and 1. Guard the other 4 players while 1 guy begs KC to shoot. Also I didnt know someone's shooting % should vary based on whether they are playing the 1,2, or 3 that night. Does the 3 point line move back? While SLU runs down the shot clock every time down the floor, all three positions essentially become the same during the motion offense....KC isnt going to occupy a block(nor should he). Probably the amount of shots could change but cmon guys you are reaching here. Are you related to KC?!?! Why the blind optimism??? He could be a good role player in the future...but lets pray he isnt starting later in the season and especially next year.
  9. Jackie- I think you are on a 1 man island with your KC enthusiasm....at least you can build a house on that island with his bricks...actually a neighborhood. Come back to reality. As far as basketball- Pick the court and time. Im off to the gym.
  10. Watch it Jackie... And why does KC need a screen anyway? Nobody guards him on the perimeter. Brick City.
  11. St. Ambrose looked like a high school team....not even a good high school team at that. #3 looked and was built like Screech Powers from Saved by the Bell. We were MUCH more talented and not out-sized (how many times will we be able to say that this year?) If the team played with half the enthusiasm as Billiken05 cheers with it would have been a blowout. Props to Billiken05, the guy is a maniac in the stands and its hilarious to watch! Beer on me next game.
  12. KC is disapointing. From last season and now into this season, he misses open shot upon open shot. I can't recall a time when he has knocked down an open jumper. He has a nice stroke, I can't figure out why the ball wont go down...but it doesnt....EVER. How can somebody say that he is the "best passer" on the team? He doesnt drive to the basket and dish the ball, he runs around a screen passes along the perimeter. Maybe Majerus likes his hair. I've agreed to let willie eat creatine with me but I cant help KC with his shot.
  13. My 2009-2010 Bills prediction: 20 wins. In celebration of the 20 wins, the 1st 20 Bills fans to gimme a high five at the game tomorrow get a free beer! Go Bills! I'll be in the blue & white pajama pants.
  14. Box- Always love a clip from Curb your enthusiasm! Alright, back to pre-gaming for the Oct 30th tip-off. Out.
  15. I cant wait for the women's basketball season to begin.....chompin at the bit.
  16. That Reinert gather brought back some old college memories, most of which I probably cant post about on here....anyway, back to Majerus. I'm surprised he didnt mention all of the lifting I've been doing with WR this off season. He's probably up to 215-220 lbs, I fed him PB&J sandwiches with creatine all summer and we did push-ups in the quad during every one of his english lit classes this summer. He's ripped. I'm pumped. Bring on Oct 30th...Bring on Dayton!!! Off to the Rec. Shoulders n Back day.
  17. Yea absolutely no buzz whatsoever. Hell, the alumni baseball game got more attention. The headline there was DirtyRican striking out 3 times...1,2,3 he gone!
  18. Did we make it into the NCAA tournament? What seed are we?
  19. Davola, thanks for the beer at the last game.....you the man! So, I started pre-gaming for the game on saturday today. Anyone care to join? Im watching old SLU highlights from the late 90s at my place in south county. I'll be rockin' the blue/white pajama pants from 3rd row saturday. It will be my mardi gras. I'll have beads to throw at the refs. Im off to the gym.
  20. What wrong with a little watermelon lovin'?
  21. I will act as security for the game. Not only will i keep all dayton fans out of the student section...but i will also keep them from entering into the arena. Thats right....absolutely nobody is allowed to root for dayton this saturday, or I will escort them out. I'll be in my blue/white pajama pants...still wearing my shirt from the white out. I'm off to the gym.
  22. Thanks for the vine....a few points to ponder: Is it just me or does Tommy Liddell's work ethic remind you of a certain guard from Duke named Steve Wojciechowski?? Tommy's work ethic is contagious. Also, Willie Reed reminds me of a young Patrick Ewing in the post. See you all next wednesday..I'm off to the gym.
