clearly slu has not proven them guilty of sexual assault. thats obviously grounds for expulsion. what i would bet happened is that in the course of that investigation, the players admitted to being drunk, having booze at grand forest, maybe being at the bar, etc... facts that they probably could not deny. there may even be a cohab policy at grand forest, there is at most other dorms. there are probably additional student athlete rules they violated. drinking with a shadowing athlete? honestly if you add up all their ohfenses that night, a 1 semester suspension seems fair, if not a little easy. ive seen longer suspensions for less

the owner of the Highlander sports bar & grill over by forest park was considering putting a similar place in shoe lofts space mentioned above. also, the linen lofts (next to the bp at olive & compton) have a lot of first floor space they were trying to sell the griesedeck bros a couple years back. there is also an empty space at the corner of leonard and washington that looks like it could be a 'billiken fieldhouse.' that might be just one block too far north though

look, at this point its fact that two slu bball players have been questioned and released. its not unreasonable or immoral to want to know which players in particular. i def dont consider it slander to release their names. as for details on what happened, ill wait for official news on that. at this point i just want to know which of my teams players are in question whats more harmful to say: "this is who was questioned, now let's wait for some official news" or "lets not talk about it because the 'victim' may be lying."

keeping it to yourself is one thing. flaunting it is another. if you don't want to divulge then don't. explain good faith? do you honestly think everyone here (or anyone for that matter) got the story directly from a team member? doubtful.
