Recruit (1/7)

  1. It was just announced Tyler Stone and Nino Johnson, arguably SEMO's best two players, are going to be suspended for Friday night's game. http://semoball.com/blogs/mishow/entry/55775/
  2. Seems like there is going to be a few doubleheaders with the Women's team. The Mizzou-SLU game is also scheduled for November 8th and on the Tulsa website, their game at SLU is scheduled for 7pm on December 3rd.
  3. If I'm not mistaken, parts of Highway 40 by the arena are going to be closed Feb. 1-4 affecting the traffic for the Dayton game. Just a heads up. http://www.modot.org/stlouis/road_construction/weeklyupdate.htm
  4. As a season ticket holder for both SLU and SIUE, I'd be willing to bet that the number of SIUE fans in attendence will be closer to 50-100 than 500-1,000. The attendence for the game against Carbondale was a mirage. The vast majority were Saluki fans. A large number of attendees to the other SIUE games are students who get in free. I doubt very few of them will make the trip to Chaifetz especially during Christmas break. If SIUE was healthy, they might have been able to make a game out of it for a half. But if Yelovich and Wiltz are still out with injury, the game could get ugly really quickly especially if Mitchell gets some quality minutes. Despite all that, I am really looking forward to the game tonight. I'll be wearing an SIUE t-shirt and a SLU hat.
  5. Here is a link to the schedule: http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/atl10/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/2012-13/schedule/schedule.pdf
  6. According to the CBE website (http://www.cbeclassic.com/schedule), SLU will be playing USC Upstate and Santa Clara in the preliminary rounds. USC Upstate will probably be the season opener on Nov. 9th.
  7. Mizzou in 2003 was the last. SEMO hasn't gone since 1999 I think.
  8. I think ESPN is trying to be "scientific" with this list. The criteria is as follows: • National title … 25 • Title game loss … 20 • National semifinal loss … 15 • Elite Eight loss … 10 • Best record in conference's regular season … 5 • 30+ wins in a season … 5 • Sweet 16 loss … 5 • Conference tournament title … 3 • AP first-team All-American … 3 • Losing in NCAA second round … 3 • Player in top 10 of NBA draft … 2 • 20-29 wins in a season … 2 • NCAA first-round win as a 12-16-seed … 2 • NIT title … 2 • AP second-team All-American … 2 • NCAA tournament berth … 1 • Postseason NIT berth … 1 • AP third-team All-American … 1 • NCAA first-round loss vs. 12-16-seed … -2 • Losing season … -3 • Ban from NCAA tournament … -3
