  1. I don't see anything posted. Sorry if I overlooked something, but here we are in mid January and I haven't heard much. You've gotta figure he's enrolled (or soon to be) somewhere right? Anyone heard?
  2. Oh, my fault, I saw that he was from Benton High School and assumed that was in Benton, Missouri, which is only about 120 miles south of St. Louis.
  3. Johnny Coy, from Benton Missouri, is transferring out of Arizona State to be with his ill father. I wonder if SLU would be interested in him, or if he'd be interested in us, especially with Cotto's scholarship opening up.
  4. I'd like to see Cotto get some more burn. He showed some nice intensity on Rice, and maybe he'll get hot on offense.
  5. My bad. the audio started coming in.....
  6. This is impressive, to get access to the in house feed. No audio, right?
  7. I'm not convinced this will work. I think early in the day, all games are listed, and then they disappear. Is the game even being televised anywhere? Maybe a KSU affiliation, in which case my whole post may be wrong.
  8. Ditto...And it should take 2-3 weeks for the scores to be returned?
  9. Hey Guys, Any word on who might be brought in as the 3rd assistant? Are Jensen or Harrington candidates?
  10. Thanks for the info This day in age, you'd think they could put it into the computer and get the results immediately.
  11. Nate, any word on Cotto's ACT? Wasn't he going to take it earlier this month?
  12. What's the address of the MU board?
  13. Is this a sign that Cotto is likely to qualify or not? Last I heard, he still hadn't taken his ACT
  14. Not to beat a dead horse, Nate, but, is there any update on his attempt to qualify? Is there a timetable for him taking the ACT? Some say its an incorrect assumption that it will be difficult for him to qualify, but here we are in March with no tests scores.....seems strange
  15. Cotto looked awful last night. Turnovers, forced shots, getting beat off the dribble.....he was outplayed by Hogg of Edw. Cotto got fouled taking a three, and missed all three FTs. Summed up his night.
  16. I'm going to have to disagree with a few of the assessments on Cotto. First, and least importantly, its Ruben, like the name, not the sandwich. It seems to be spelled wrong frequently, so nothing personal. As for his game, I disagree and think he does look like a legit 6 foot. He's also very strong and well built, and he elevates a lot on his jumper so that also helps. He will be more suited as a 1, but size won't be as much of an issue as its being made out to be.....especially considering the Polk comparisons. And the mention of his matchups with Leverette, I've seen two of the three games between these two, and to say that Leverette shut him down (or anything even close to that) is simply not true. The first game he put up somewhere in the 35-40 points. Leverette was in foul trouble late in the game, but he was in foul trouble because Cotto was taking it to him. The other game I saw he was slowed a little by Leverette, but never forced anything, and still ended up around 20 pts, but he was constantly getting doubled and creating for teammates. Leverette did ok against him, but he had a ton of help......not to mention that Alton won the game in O'fallon's dome. Both games had Cotto shooting a high percentage from the field. Assuming the deal gets closed, and he qualifies, this is a super pickup. He's played great competition previously, so making the jump shouldn't be as difficult for him as it would be for the normal freshman.
  17. Nate, have you heard anything recently about his attempt to qualify? Someone on his high school team was telling me that he might be getting some extensions as an English as a second language student.
  18. He does gamble a lot, and this gambling only pays off against lower competition. He surely will not be able to get away with that next year, no matter who he plays for. Is there any update on his recruiting?
  19. I've heard that his AAU or high school (in Miami) coach got hired on at LaSalle U. in Philadelphia, and they might be in on him as well. He spent last week on recruiting trips out east. I went to watch the game vs Edwardsville on Friday, and he was wearing a SLU tee shirt before the game. That game was sloppy for him, as Edwardsville was doubling and tripling him every time. His stat line is very unimpressive, but one positive is that he didn't force anything. He stayed within their offense, and ended up only taking 11 shots.
