I'm not going to get into a fight with you when my post was in support of the basketball program. Lets just say we have a different opinion on what is considered "good." What I think we can agree on is next years team will have better players at KL and TL3's positions.

KShoe I don't think your giving SLU enough credit, they have a lot to offer. Temple and St. Joes WILL not be asked to join the basketball only Conf. 'Nova will not allow another Phili school to come in and be on a level playing field. SLU has much more to offer then Dayton, larger market. I get the feeling that UMass will join the other half of the Big East split by going D1 in football. This is something UConn would want. Now as far as the team goes, next year will be much better. RickMa is bring in one of the best recruiting classes in SLU history. All the players that are worth anything on this years team will be back. I know KL and TL3 get a lot of love and rightfully so but lets face it they weren't that good. TL3 never got better and KL was just a guy. You have two freshmen that will come in and be better than both guys by Jan. KM was the best player on the team with WR right behind him. Watch out for BT because only a handful of centers play well the first year. This team should compete for the A10 championship next year. Heck yeah SLU has a lot to offer.

What your looking for is the Big East to split between Footbal Schools and Basketball School. The new Conference being 1. DePaul 2. Georgetown 3. Marquette 4. Notre Dame 5. Providence 6. Seton Hall 7. St. John's 8. Villanova All 8 schools will be in so no kicking them out. The battle then becomes who else (if any) they let in. Xavier seems like a lock for the number 9 spot. Temple and St. Joes may be on the outside looking in if Villanova doesn't want to share. So if they only let in 10 schools, its a battle between Dayton and SLU. If they let in 12 SLU is a lock. If this happens and SLU is on the outside looking in, then its either the Valley or hooking up with Butler and the A-10 cast offs to form a new Conference. Go Jayhawks

Non one just gets to pick and choose who they want. Kansas is the top program of the last twenty years and even they have to fight with the Mississippi St. of the world for top kids. On this Chaminade kid, if Bill Self invites you to Late Night then this kid can play. Not everyone gets that invite. Yes I know the best Phili kids are now playing for KU, but over the years how many of them go to KU, Duke, NC and UCLA. By the way I told everyone a year ago that Willie Reed is a player, Bill liked him but he was a notch below the KU level.

Where did this venom come from Chosen One? The name on the Jersey does matter believe me. Your right, Bill Self is paid to win national championships, period. He has not done it in the four years, but we believe he will. With the Bucknell game he had a senior team that quit on him, and thats a shame. The game against Bradley was a different story. He had nothing but freshmen who played well above expectations. They rallied to win the Big 12, but ran into a team that was battle hardened and had a center that did more than sniff the NBA. It was a lesson they had to learn the hard way. Last year they played a team that had a home field advantage. I think if they got past UCLA that we could have beaten Florida (again). Oh well. Go Jayhawks!!! Go Bills!!! Never let Ill and Mizzou tell you that you don't belong because you do.

Pistol grammer on a message board? Shame on you. Now as far as early exists in the tourni go, you get over it. When you have the word Kansas on the front of your Jersey you are a target. You always get the other teams best shot. Now as far as the 2 star player on Bucknell and Bradley go my only response is where are they now? I know Kansas went to the elite 8 last year. Thats the fun part of the tourni, there's always a next year. KU will be ranked again in the top five, and in some polls number one. Go Jayhawks and go Bills!!!

At the Kansas web site anytime Self misses on a kid we tease him by calling him Bill Webber. Webber may not last long enough to see his in coming freshmen make it to there senior year. As far as McCamey being more thought of than Suggs, could you site your sources, I can. According to rivals.com (The best resource) both are 4 stars rated at 5.8. I'm Sorry I've been watching this and I can't take it anymore. Billiken Roy you seem to talk about the honor and integrity of Roundtree when you have NO IDEA how the system works. Lowery, like any coach brings in a 16 year old kid and F**king puts on a show. This kid sees this large area built just for him to play in, the coach tells him everything he wants to hear and with stars in his eyes commits to SIU. Now he's looking around and questioning if he made the right decision for him. But wait, Billiken Roy and the moral police come in and say shame on you. You are not a man of God, you must keep your word that you made as a teenager. Roundtree you MUST stay at a place that you don't want to be at. Well screw you Billiken Roy!!! I hope this kid does come SLU and light up the area, just to piss you off. If a kid decommits then he is FAIR game. This isn't breaking any rules and if Lowery is any type of coach he knows this. I'm sorry if I talked out of place being an outsider, but I thought SLU wanted to be a big time program.

No not really, the top players are commiting later and later now. SLU and SIUC have a recruiting class of kids that have recently blown up. That type of player commits early to make sure they have a roster spot. When things settle Ill and Mizzou will have there players. I'm not saying The Gimmic Defense University and SLU won't have better classes in the end, but just wait and see. There still is balance in the NCAA world.

SIU would finish maybe 5th or 6th in the Big 12. Remember SIU doesn't have the depth to compete against Big 12 schools in the regular season. The NCAA tourn. has a T.V. time out every min. that cancels that depth out. SIU uses smoke and mirrors to make themselves look like a great team. That gets exposed against better competition. A quick question? Wouldn't SLU rather have Perry over John?

The rage from Mizzou and Illini fans is all our fault. We have been beating Mizzou for so long that they are angry, confused and shell shocked. As for the Illini that beat down is more recent. KU has taken the best Chicago player 2 out of the last 3 years, leaving Weber with nothing. It looks like that will happen again this year. So Billiken fans they feel the need to come after someone that they feel superior to. With Rick as the helm thats going to change and they know it. So who is left for them to pick on, SEMO? Bowel eligable for two years straight, baby. SLU is my second favorite school so I want them to do well. KU Football and Billikin Basketball are very simular. Both have the coaches to get to the next level. After years of just saying it both admin. are doing things to get to the next level. Both have just spent millions on a state of the art complex to compete. Sorry about the KU arrogance towards Suggs but when one of the big 5, KU, Duke, NC, KY, and UCLA want a player they get that player usually. Finally I can't wait for the new facility, first year KU at SLU national T.V. equals a nice pay day for both schools. Maybe this time you'll let us win. Rivals in my and most opinion is better than Scout. I know that SLU is a basketball only school so this may not matter but Scout is really poor when it comes to football.
