only has 2 points at halftime.

It obviously didn't help, but I don't think it ruined the season.

Soderberg on KFNS today at noon- summary
Milwaukee Billiken replied to Milwaukee Billiken's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
His point was that after they didn't get the guys that they knew would actually help make the program better, that they weren't going to sign stop-gap type guys just to save face. -
- Bills' Offensive PPP (points per possession) at .99 in A-10 play. Soderberg's goal is 1 point per possession, so they're doing well in that respect. - Before the Charlotte game, they made some adjustments to IV's post defensive techniques, which resulted in better inside play from IV. - Says he's very encouraged by the spring recruiting as it's progressing. He said that he chose not to pursue kids fall 2006 just for the sake of saving face. - Coach says that they're in good standing with 8 athletes and are in good position to sign 4 or 5. - Lots of cliche` talk about the Houston game. - It sounds as if coach is going to continue giving JJ opportunities, especially after his performance against Charlotte.

Now DB gets hot.

I'm not listening, but I'm sure Rammer has called this one already.

74-69 Temple 2:30 to go

67-65 with 6:18 to go... I'm starting to get nervous.
-
Hopefully this means Tommie will take more shots.

DM scores his first points on a 3 point play!

TL's 3pt % for the year now at .566 with 1:17 to play in the first half.

>>fans will show up when you're good and not really care when you aren't as good.<< That is always the case. In every sport, fans show up to watch good, competitive teams that are winning. Attendence declines as the performance on the field/court declines. This has nothing to do with rivalries. I'm not saying that rivalries aren't important, but winning is the most important thing for increasing attendance.

A-10 Conference Predictions
Milwaukee Billiken replied to Chicago Billiken's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
This team has the ability to run the table in the conference. Realistically, I think they'll lose 3 games. @UD @XU 1 more loss -
Just to clear this up...Perry was a UW athlete, not a UWM athlete. He announced his intent to transfer from the University of Wisconsin, not the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Status of Obi and HD
Milwaukee Billiken replied to Majerus Magic's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
Horace couldn't have failed out of school. He's a freshman. Even if his GPA fell below 2.00, he'd be on academic probation for 2 semesters. Maybe he failed to complete all of his classes. I can't see how that would happen though. -
"I'm pretty sure Tommie Liddell will be here to play on Friday,'' Liddell said. Now that's insider information. It's nice to see Tommie speaking in the third person. Confidence is more than needed for tonight. Get pumped, Billikens.

The A-10 will likely send 2 teams. Xaiver and whoever wins the coference tourney will go. If Xavier wins the conference tourney and has the best regular season record, as almost everyone is predicting, the second place team could make it as an at large, provided they have more than 20 wins and a couple of quality victories. Considering how difficult it is to win any conference tournament, nothing is a given. 2 teams is the best bet.

Looks about right. I think we can pull off a win against Xavier at home and Dayton on the road. That would give us 21 wins. A win over Missouri State would be gravy.
