  1. the LOL emoticon should have shown I was joking. not really.
  2. SIU outdrew XU last year in STL and the game took place during a blizzard. SIU is easily SLU's biggest non-conference rival and a better draw that XU or Dayton most of the time. If it wasn't for a blizzard last year, it would have been better attended than Dayton. This is not an argument for the MVC just pointing out that people do seem to care more about SIU than Dayton or XU. Give SLU a couple more years in the A-10 and that should change but you know Biondi will jump conferences the first chance he gets if he thinks he can make a profit. You can forget about Missouri State though, no one cares about them.
  3. Reality check Billiken fans. With a freshman class of 7 a transfer was almost inevitable. This should have been somewhat expected.
  4. I may be wrong but I believe troutangler is a Missouri State fan.
  5. 17th Street Bar and Grill was voted best ribs in the US by both The Food Network and The Travel Channel in the last year. The original Murphysboro location is where it is at although the new O'Fallon location is still good, it is not quite the same. Anyone who is going to SI for the game cannot go wrong by going there for a pregame dinner. I recomend the pulled pork as well and you have to try the deep fried pickle slices. They are awesome.
  6. Doesn't help us for the SLU game but thank god it is his non-shooting hand and a minor break. He will be back in time for conference play.
  7. Good post, facts many choose to ignore because they love a particular program so passionately. People are fickle, especially 18 y/o kids.

  9. I know this is being nit picky but could SLU fans please start spelling the Messaih's name correctly. It is Cassity and he will bring his fathers vengeance down on those that cannot get it correct. Get it correct and he will care for you as one of his flock.
  10. This from someone who lives in Belleville , the two towns are eerily similar Roy. Only Belleville has a larger population so there is an even larger number of scum who live there.
  11. I didn't want to start a new thread and since the thread about him was locked. Jeremy Felton will not be going to SIU. I know nothing other than that.
  12. Don't forget BT returning home. He should be excited as well. I hope he can take what the crowd will have for him without crying. I will be making the trip from STL to Carbondale to enjoy the game with my father, I am quite excited about it.
  13. Back to the real reason I posted this in the beginning. UMass - Looks like they can score the ball. Cannot play a lick of D. SIU - Could be scary good this year. Will definitely lose some some games they should win however, 1st half showed that. With Mullins and Dillard running the point, we have something special there. 46 pts, 36 assists, 11 turnovers through the 1st 2 games. Need better post play. Fay is starting to look like the player SIU fans thought he would be last year. Roundtree did leave last nights game with an ankle injury. I really cannot wait for the game on 12/02.
  14. Tuesday, Nov. 11 Arkansas-Monticello vs. Massachusetts, 5 p.m. California (Pa.) vs. SIU, 7:30 p.m. If SIU and UMass take care of their 1st round opponents they face each other in round two. A chance for the Bills to see what two future opponents look like early in the season.
  15. I live in Columbia, most of us can read, its not like I live in Dupo or Cahokia.v Something like 21% of the registered votes took advantage of early voting in Illinois, that helps too.
  16. Showed up to my polling place at 7:15. I was the only person there other that the election officials. I was in and out in less that 10 minutes.
  17. turn up sarcasm meter to not allow explosion from this post
  18. So you are saying that they are on par with the Billikens.
  19. I looked at this picture for 5 minutes before I realized she had a face.
  20. Count me in as an Alum who would love to see SLU playing football. The Valley Football is an even worse option for SLU than Valley Basketball. Especially if SLU has to go the non-scholarship route. The Valley Football conference is simply too strong for a non-scholarship team to compete on a regular basis. It has seen as many as 6 teams in the FCS top 25 this year and currently has 3 top 15 teams. The Pioneer League would be a great fit and I would love to see it.
