I think it makes sense for one reason over others. It is easier to get donors to buy in on going the extra mile with a player when there is already a relationship built over a year. I think that is especially true in a place as provincial as St. Louis.

Honestly it would have been better to play in the a crappy MTE like the Myrtle Beach Invitational or the November Clasico than this thing. That way you at least get trip in for the guys. Instead this event is being used to get the home game total where they want it against teams I don't care about. I would have happily paid the same price for my season tickets for a couple less home games this year.

Jason Barrett is the guy that destroyed that station about a decade ago. He caused Kilcoyne to quit the station and then caused the owners to pay a big settlement to Jim Hayes. Everything was basically a disaster after that.

I don’t think anyone thinks that Hendrickson was not a great hire. The baseball program would be in the same spot today if Vitello was the coach. You can only do so much with the resources the baseball program has available to them.

2007 is exactly when you hire him in that timeline and I believe he was a finalist for the job. Like @OkieBilliken he wouldn't be here anymore. I think it would have been more like five years before he moved on, but moved on he would have. May didn't hire Hendrickson and can't remember who actually made that call. That was when Levick was technically still the AD, but already had announced she was resigning the position.

The A-10 Championship game on CBS is the best showcase the conference has all season and draws pretty big ratings. The conference tournament is worth saving for that alone.

Going to 76 would just be adjusting to a much larger group of teams that now play college basketball. It won't hurt the game at all. I wonder if our parents and grandparents whined in 1984 like so many people seem to today about tournament expansion. It turned out to be the best thing for everyone.

This kid is the real deal according to everyone that has seen him. Might be among the most underrated recruits in the country right now.
