  1. Just not having your guys prepared
  2. I was yelling about that no call, but the replay showed it was right. Damn.
  3. There is no satisfactory explanation
  4. If the general public loses interest, it won’t take even a take a decade for the media rights that fund the beast to crater. The general public has never shown a sustained interest in something that is minor league and that is what college sports would be if it fully professionalized. Alumni are great, but interest from the general public is what drives the media rights.
  5. And of course he has been playing like a first team all conference center since conference play has started for Memphis.
  6. The fact Ford couldn't close the deal with Dandridge still astounds me.
  7. College sports can't survive full professionalization. That makes them a minor league and there won't be the money there once the public starts viewing them as a minor leagues. They won't be able to even afford the upkeep on their facilities much less pay players real money if that happens. The fact the athletes and most administrators don't seem to understand this is amazing.
  8. I don't think Saban retiring had anything to do with NIL. Saban is 72, his wife wanted to move to Florida and he got sick of having to replace coordinators yearly. Hell, it now appears players were giving Alabama a pretty big discount on NIL because they wanted to play for Saban. NIL really didn't change anything for Saban.
  9. I like McCollum a lot. I just don’t know if the people that will be making this decision will feel that taking a chance on a D 2 coach is too big of a risk at this time for the program to take. The moment for guys like McCollum, Ahearn or any assistant might have passed last spring. The downside risk some would be willing to put their money on might be much lower now with the way this season has played out both record rise and at the gate.
  10. He wouldn’t be my first choice either, but like you said he would be a solid hire.
  11. People don’t want to hire an assistant coach, they don’t want to hire the creator of Dunk City a year removed from a three straight NCAA tournament run that included an Elite Eight run because LeBron screwed up his program, even some don’t want Moser for some reasons…… People aren’t going to have many candidates when DeVries and Schertz both take Big 10 jobs.
  12. A name that hasn't been brought up, but will probably be a serious candidate for the job barring a PAC 12 conference tournament championship is Andy Enfield.
  13. It would be really cool if we signed a three star recruit who looked 72 and had a bushy white moustache. Guy would be the most popular player ever in St. Louis.
  14. I don't know how much he actually got, but the number I heard he thought he was getting was actually higher than 200k. Who knows?
  15. This team could really use a Dusty Rhodes.
  16. It cracks me up how much Jerry hated this hire and how much he hates Travis Ford.
  17. I think it is important to point out we get a program in our current state when you ignore the recommendations of the search firm @Box and Won& @JMM28 LLC.
  18. I think he was born looking like he was 72 years old.
  19. I guess I should be thankful I have had connection issues. I got to miss some of this.
  20. Wilford Brimley was only 49 when he starred in Cocoon.
