  1. Check out the site listed below for the game tomorrow. I have used it in the past and it works. Right now, the SLU/Dayton game is listed as a game on. And this is free. Sometimes the audio is the radio broadcast. Don't shoot the messenger if it doesn't work, though http://channelsurfing.net/
  2. I have season tickets with my dad and he seems to use the pasta discount every time they hit the mark. So I guess he is the "one" that takes advantage of the deal. I still haven't.
  3. Maybe I'm making too much of this, but I really think the Bills should have at least had a mention last night about Lisch reaching 1,000 points. I mean do it before the game or in pregame warmups or during a stop. I was shocked nothing was said, but I guess it shouldn't surprise me.
  4. Haha. Great line. I also questioned the shot clock violation being a reviewable at the time. Oh well. When it rains, it pours.
  5. The game was horrific to watch, but the only positive I take from it is that they played hard. I will give them that. I don't think they gave up. The Bills just couldn't hit a shot to save their lives. I'm just looking for any positives . . . .
  6. Holley just wasn't big on the way Majerus has been talking about his players - negative stuff. He said he just thought there was a negative tone surrounding the program right now. Rammer said he didn't see it, which I guess wasn't too surprising.
  7. They usually wear jeans and a polo shirt.
  8. I think Hendrickson will succeed at SLU. He is a very good recruiter and knows the St. Louis area. He'll start getting more and more players from St. Louis in the years to come. I expect him to do very well. He'll be a big upgrade for the baseball program.
  9. Check out Bernie's latest Bernie Bits. It is just up on stltoday.com. He writes about postings on this board. You can guess what it is about. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/co...70?OpenDocument
  10. I think Tommie wants to be called Tommie Liddell III. It was on the back of his jersey, which I never noticed last season and up on the scoreboard as well. I was wondering the same thing about the name, but I don't think Guy was doing anything out of line.
  11. So what do I get for winning the Billikens.com fantasy baseball league, a cookie or something?
  12. Just got my Sporting News this week and they have a huge poll section with a ton of different questions for readers and their staff. Anyway, I was surprised to see one question was: How far will Rick Majerus take Saint Louis in Season 1? SN: 58% say NIT You: 69% say NIT >18% of SN staffers see the Billikens in the Big Dance, but you (10%) aren't so confident.
  13. That guy is a piece of work. I've never heard anyone say anything good about him. His people skills are lacking.
  14. I hope Vitello isn't anything like his dad, if in fact his dad is the head coach at DeSmet. If so, I can't see how he gets any recruits lol.
  15. DIII is a totally different ball game than DI. I don't think that type of experience is much better than high school - that is all I'm saying. I know it is about recruiting and getting players, but I'm sure the Vianney coach has plenty of connections to the area. I just wouldn't discount a coach because he has no college coaching experience. As for Conway, he was a good hire for SLU but I know he applied for the Webster U. job before the SLU one and didn't get that. So don't think these jobs at SLU (baseball and softball) are that coveted by area coaches. He couldn't get a DIII job at the same school in his conference. I think SLU should get the best, young candidate they can get. Don't expect a huge splash with this hire.
  16. The SLU softball coach had four years of DIII coaching experience and coached club ball for years. He just finished with the most wins in school history for softball. I'm sure not that many were too excited about the hire at the time. So I don't think I would discount a high school coach. If you know the area, you can win in St. Louis. There is plenty of talent here to produce a good baseball and softball team for SLU.
  17. I'm not saying UB was the answer, but I just don't feel like Biondi or whoever influenced him to make this decision knows what the answer is either.
  18. Does anyone on this board feel the program is heading in the right direction now? For me, I feel the higher ups have no clue on what it takes to get this program to the next level. I just have no confidence right now in what will transpire in the coming days. None whatsoever.
  19. What concerns me is Lisch and Liddell. I have a better feeling about Lisch staying, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Tommie leave. I just don't see how you can make this move at this time with these two guys on the roster. You are really throwing away their junior seasons, which isn't fair to them.
  20. I had a hard time getting in as well, but figured out that the password was all lowercase - billikens. Try that.
  21. Yeah, I'm not sure what the Post is thinking with this thing either. My big beef is with the coaches. Anthony Bonner gets a mention as someone considered for coach of the year, and we all know that team underachieved. But Jason Wolfard, who coaches Lindbergh, doesn't even get a mention when his team went to the state final and was probably the surprise of the season. And Lindbergh isn't even ranked in their poll at the end of the season. I think they had more than scotch when making these selections.
  22. It is Brad's fault. All Brad's fault. Right?
  23. I know Lance. He would not steer kids away from SLU. He likes Brad very much. Your statement is way off.
  24. If Amaker can't recruit and bring in the players at Michigan, how in the world would you think he could get it done at SLU?
