My intention for the poll was that since Marquette, Cincy, and company are leaving for the Big East. Odds are on us in the A-10. We no longer play our old C-USA friends. But we will be playing Dayton and Xavier in conference play. Basically, i am expecting at least one of the 4 (Louisville, Cincy, Depaul, Marquette) to take the Home and Home game we play yearly with Dayton. So I am ask, who would you want to play... Steve

It nerves me a little to see Frericks only have 3. I was hoping for a little more. Were my hopes misguided, or do you think that we should expect more out of him in the future? Steve

22 is horrible, but last year against EA Sports we had 16, and we really shaped up. So hopefully Brad will get the guys back in ball protective gear. Steve

Actually, I think a few people access Billikens.com through a PDA or their cell phone. So far Billikens.com has 212 hits in the month of november from devices like those (go figure). So if you are at the game, give us updates! Grr... This is killing me....first SLU game and I am not there... Steve

Well, I wouldn't call ValleyTalk.net full of SLU Superiority talk (I admitedly only glanced over it), SLUDrew posted something today, but no responses. You know the situation better than I do, so I will leave it at that. But, as jjray predicted, any MVC fan is welcome on this board. But remember, you are going on another team's board. I won't tell you that you are not welcome, but I cannot control everyone else. It is like if a person decked out in Kansas gear will make it very far into the Hearnes center without a taunt or two. The same goes with SLU fans, we will defend our team to the death. Also, there has been some SLU Bashing as well from your side, but that is expected. It is just how it goes. You are more than welcome on this board in my book, but remember, I am not everyone. I am apologize if you do not feel welcome on Billikens.com. I can't say much more than that. Steve

I believe you about the Highmark era. I heard of it, but never really saw it. My sister was a huge SLU fan then. But I mean, just for SO long it has been THE GUY syndrome. I would love it if we had multiple guys, but I cannot see it until next year with Liddell and Company. Prove me wrong Billikens, PROVE ME WRONG. Steve

Somehow I cannot imagine SLU without A go to guy. I mean, we have just had one for SO long I mean hasn't it gone: Perry, Perry, Jeffers, Love, Love, Hughes, Harris..... I mean no one I recall saw Jeffers doing what he did his year. The year before he was known for his D (do I smell a fisher resemblance). But it always turns out we have "Our Guy" each year. I just haven't seen a Billiken team without one (Admitedly Harris is as pretty much as far back as I go). But I just can't imagine us not having a guy this year. I do think we will be better than last year. But I expect a Fisher show, with a Sloan support personally (I wouldn't be surprised if it became Sloan's show). But i have not seen a practice, or any Billiken action since last year. So that may discredit me some. I just can't imagine a Billiken team without a GUY. Steve

I really don't like the sound of going to the A-10 WITHOUT Charlotte. I mean, I liked the sound of the A-10 with the game plan of dropping the two bottom schools, adding SLU and Charlotte. But adding us and BU....Not quite my cup of tea... Steve

I am wondering too because SLU offers a Live Stream off their web site for games (for a monthly cost), but I don't know if it applies to tonights game. Steve

Does any remember if we allowed people to see preseason games before picking the pre-season pickem records? I don't think we did, but I just want to check with everyone before I made the official thread. Steve

My BRAIN is a little fried... Let me try again. In C-USA for the past few years, the dominate teams (Louisville, Cincy, and Memphis) got a home court advantage in the conference tourney. By having the A-10 tourney in Cincy, Dayton and Xavier are getting the Home Court almost. Therefore, it doesn't really change things much for SLU. If CUSA were to remain intact, we would be going to Memphis, Louisville, and Cincy all the time. The homes of Dominate teams. If we are in the A-10, we are going to Cincy. Home of Xavier, and near Dayton, so it is a home court to the dominate teams. So I don't really like it, but it is no different than C-USA right now. Also, it could be much worse in the A-10. The tourney could be on the east coast, instead of the midwest. Does that make more sense? If you ask me a question about Fredrick the Great, Automaton, or Young Italy, maybe I can make some more sense. Sorry, Steve
