  1. I know one of you is having fun on this message board, now which one is it? Brian - Probably too busy with Allison or Curing Cancer Boon - Too wasted Grant - All I am saying is Elton John Lucas - Probably being swarmed by the Ravenscraft Fans... Matt - I am TOTALLY looking at you Steve
  2. Props for that one, props. Steve (God this message board is distracting, I should be reading, but I am sorry, there is only so much you can break-down a theory, b-jezus)
  3. Hey, Spoon was good with putting on that good 'ol Gosh Didly Darn Southern Charm... Maybe an Arkansawian can pull it off! Steve
  4. >would take him over the golden boy down the road >anyday. Roy, I think you would let Bill Clinton coach this team over the Golden Boy down the road. Steve
  5. I agree. SLU, as Taj pointed out, has never done well on the road. I expect us to be 3 and 3 by next Saturday. But hopefully we will pull one out. The game by game predictions are harder than season predictions I think. I never want to predict Billikens are going to lose, which is irrational, but I never really think about all the losses I predicted for the season, when I was probably thinking more rationally. Those loss have to come from somewhere. I doubt I will come close to winning the game by game prediction contest, too much heart to predict losses...or just plain stupidity Steve
  6. Thicks, thanks for helping me out on this. This is definitely not the week where I can worry about debates on Billikens.com (Giant Paper Due and Test tomorrow). I don't care if there are soccer threads on this board, I do not care if there are field hockey threads on this board, or gymnastics, or anything else really SLU Sports related. If it will require another board due to popularity, I will make a board for it. But I wanted that thread dead on day one because of the title, but I let it slide since I am pretty easy going with that sort of stuff. I just absolutely hated to see it bumped back at the top yesterday, so I just said LET THIS THREAD DIE. The title of the thread made the board look trashy, and that reflects poorly on everyone. I appreciate that people editted their titles, but it probably should have never been done in the first place. And when I thought it was long gone and over with WHAM there it was again. So I got a little irritated. I may not be as lenient in the future, but I believe I have been considered fair in the past, and hopefully I will be considered fair in the future in terms of Board moderation. This is all I will write on this topic until Friday after I hand in an 11 page research paper on Billikens.com (whoever thought CUSA-Talk and Triangle and Too would be cited in a Bibliography). Steve
  7. Tarheel, I know I spoke to you earlier this year about it, but I am unsure of how close an Amtrak stop is to your town. Mapquest says Charlotte is 2+ hours away, is there something closer? Steve
  8. I got a math test back today, and it turns out that if I get an 84 on my final(I have so far gotten a 93 and 87 on the two tests), I can still get an A (I can get a 74 on the final and still pull off an A-). So I am thinking I will try to go the Georgia Tech game, and I was wondering who else was definitely going, and if they wouldn't mind if I hitched a ride (if you are on the East Coast). Thanks, Steve
  9. Even though it will only be Reggie's first game, this game is going to be HUGE. A win on the road will be so important, and while I may dream as much as the rest of you, I don't (at this moment) expect us to take Arizona and Georgia Tech down. But I will cross my fingers. Lossing 3 straight would be rough on this team, and a win against WVU could get us rolling for Zona. Come on BILLS! Steve
  10. Ahh... Makes a lot of sense, I missed that "Sr." part. I will tell my friend down the hall (big Miami fan, and was a little worried). Steve
  11. http://interact.fansonly.com/recruiting/pr...tball&dbyear=03 Read the comments about this guy. Steve
  12. I am working on my paper about Billikens.com being a community, and i need someone to confirm that billiken_roy was mentioned on KFNS sometime this past year. I remember it being mentioned on the board, but I cannot find the thread, and it may be gone after all of the transitions. If anyone can confirm this, it would be appreciated (I basically need something to cite, and it would be better if someone else did it). Thanks, Steve
  13. I am not definitely going, I am considering it though. Exams are coming up (unfortunitely), so it will depend on how much work I got in front of me, plus my desire to see the Arizona game. I was just seeing how hard it would be for me to get there. Steve
  14. True, but it not counting prevents teams from running up the score some. I mean, I bet SLU could have left its starters in for the last 2 games all the way, and won by even more than they did. You have a point, just I would prefer keeping teams from running up the scores. Steve
  15. How much of a trip would it be for me to get to Maryland do you think? Steve
  16. I think top 25 is a little extreme to say if we are 5-0. I think people will view an Arizona win as a Cinderella upset against an overated (if we beat them) Arizona team. If we are 4-2 going into the Grambling Game, I will be a happy camper b/c that means either a win on the road (Something that was RARE last year until Febuary) OR a win vs. Arizona (in which the SignGuy will be getting $$ from GWBrett (his brother goes to AZ). But if we are 4-2, I am happy. Steve
  17. I am looking for a URL of a news story about it, but I am almost positive it counts as a loss for the varsity, since it was a Varsity game, just the schools agreed to play JV, since Webster wouldn't play if they didn't play JV. Steve
  18. Have you ever asked SLU's Athletic Department about it? I know they have something online posted about Boosters, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Steve
  19. Turkey day is pretty huge. It is the second oldest rivalry this side of the Mississippi. Sports Illustrated did a big story on it last year. I mean, it may just sound like an standard High School homecoming, but I think it is more than that for Kirkwoodians and Webster(ites?). The state championship is big, yes, but I have heard some Webster people say they would prefer Turkey Day over State. But the Class of '04 for Kirkwood really is getting the short end here, they never got to play in Turkey Day most likely, while a JV Sophomore this year will have gotten to play in 4 by the time he graduates. I really think the Webster Varsity should play at least a Quarter. And it is a VARSITY game still, so the Varsity Webster team got a loss today, even though the JV played. Steve
  20. They played, but the JV squads. It sucks for the class of '04, because last year they did the same thing, and odds are most of them never got to play in a Turkey Day game. But Kirkwood won, so that is good (Kirkwood Alum here). But as soon as Jackson is gone, things should get back to normal. Steve
  21. As of last year it was. I can make it either before or after. I just got home, already drove my car a bit. Bobble head is still there. Life is good. Steve Go Kirkwood Beat Webster!
  22. Your right, I forgot about that little feature.. It should be changed now. Steve
