It's not the resonsibility for the coaches to give money to this arena. You must be kidding me with this post. What if your boss, who has tons of money, comes to you to give money for new desks in your office. Yeah you would be pissed to. SLU coaches are under paid and work long hours, They don't need to help fund an arena that will benefit Biondi. The coaches work countless hours and usually make up program shortcomings out of their own pockets anyway. Once again the Koolaide drinkers are clueless.

The United Way and the Arena are 2 entirely different things. Some of the coaches will be long gone when that arena is up and running. Seems like they are struggling to get donors if you have to ask coaches and secretaries who make $27,000 a year for a donation. I have never heard a school do this to have coaches take it out of their own pockets. I thought it was low class.

CL announced that she is expecting everyone in the athletic department to make a donation to the new arena. Coaches, secretaries, etc. I will say that people are not to happy about this. Her strategy I would guess is to tell people that her whole staff is on board donating, so you should to. I talked to a few coaches and they were not to happy about this. I can say that out of the 4 people I talked to in the department, all 4 were really upset they were being asked/told to do this. I think CL has done a good job so far but to anger the staff and coaches who are making below market value in their pay is a little overe the top.

Tyus will go to a Big Time program. SLU has little to no chance unfortunately.

Who really cares what Roy thinks. He sells mortgages! Thats it. He has no resume for basketball evaluation. I don't consider watching High School basketball in Belleville a resume worth bragging about.

I am well aware he is in finals and I am aware that they stopped the off season board about 3 1/2 weeks ago.

I agree we should have bills stuff here but you should have the main guys open up the off season board. That is the main problem. The off season board should be opened up!!!

If you really think Sendek left because of the internet boards than you are tragicaly misinformed. There are many reason's why coaches move on. Secondly, To infer that coaches at SLU read this pathetic board is also misinformed. I know for a fact most of them have never read the board at all. I know all the coaches in the department and to infer that coaches read this board is outragous. The problem with this board is that posters that have been on the board for a long time and new posters all give their 2 cents. The problem is most have never played or coached. I get grilled for saying this by Roy but it's true. If you are going to crticize the way some people post then have a little background. Everytime Roy posts, a couple of other people take it as gospel. A couple of months ago I was in West Pine speaking with a coach and brought this board up and they laughed. They said they had heard of it and mentioned that they would never listen to anyone that had no idea what was really going on. I have said that from day 1 since I have been on the board. Just because you go and watch a high school game, go to billikan club meetings or visit college boards all day does not make you an expert. If you were you would be in the business. The other day was a classic. Volfan came on the board saying Stemler was coming through sorces. Some people questioned that but Roy spouts his mouth off and insists that volfan is credible. So everyone jumps on board. I took great delight to see that fall through because it once again proves that no one on this board is above anything. I speak with many coaches all over the US including many PAC 10 schools and ACC schools and this board and group of people take the cake. People should use this board to talk billikan sports. When you get into things that relate to recruiting and game management than you really should not talk about what you don't know.

Stemler goes to Indiana and Mcguire takes his only decent offer to SLU. Who the hell do you think is better.

First, I am a SLU soccer suporter. I am a friend of Dan and Sorbs and think they do a great job under the circumstances. Just because I get pissed at all the yahoo's on this board that drink bball the koolaide does not make me a hater but a realist. Again today I had a post deleted "censored" because yes I used to coach and play DI sports and know a lot of people, coaches and administrators in the business. I gave info on how Coach Beane was let go and the post was deleted. My post was true and SLU gave out the wrong info.
