Some states - MO is one - have laws that allow the schools to take a bit more active role in the NIL process. I am not sure how or how much so maybe FL never passed any law

No the Courts are who opened this up. Congress could have done something but they did not start this

Good win. Those of us who said the team did not quit were correct. Hawks went cold and our offense picked it up.

I agree - they just are not organized correctly. Of course, the Hawks are playing small, so Bruce is not being challenged at all thus we get the run. The problem is we have seen this kind of a push back and they come out and immediately stumble - we will see how it goes in the second half.

It is hard to play with a lot of heart when everything around you is falling apart. I don't blame them - no one giving them the help they need and they are stuck in a tough situation.

I will say this - Ford is the luckiest coach out there. He manages to get people to throw money at him and he never delivers. How does he do it. I will say tonight he looks shook. I guess he figures he won't be able to con the next school given what is going on this year. Not only is he losing but he has a circus around him.

I also don't think SLU will fire Ford in the middle of the year unless he does something immoral or illegal but telling people to stop their drumbeat is not right either. If people stop expressing their opinions regarding Ford being fired then there will be those in power who may think everything is fine now. No, they need to hear the constant call. Sports media guys have to protect their access I get that but they have an obligation to do their job and that is writing the truth not a cheering session. Just look at Randy K on 101, today he said if Kyrou would have performed this year then Berube would still be coaching - Randy has been supporting him carte blanche. Danny Mc said on the show that he is not so sure about that - one player would not have fixed this. He did not opine anything else. The Blues announcer on the show also said that he has been pleasantly surprsed at how the defense is playing under Bannister. Randy K is so far up Berube rear that he can not be counted on treating this matter objectively. Berube obviously had lost the ears of the players - why who knows only they know so a change was inevitable.

If he really didn't know enough of the situation then all he would have to say is "I just learned of this 15 minutes ago, I have not had a chance to really talk to anybody or ask questions but I will tonight and have a statement tomorrow. Not doing so only makes him appear to know more than he admits and that he is hiding his part/knowledge.

When a person gets on a rant at home no telling what he might say. Remember if you want to know the truth listen when someone is the angriest that is when you find out how they really feel.
