One other observation. UMass has some very long limbed guys, and these types give us problems. Big problems. With the exception of that runt playing PG, they looked a whole lot taller than X or just about anyone else we've played. Are they? I don't really know, but they sure looked it.

Wow, Brian, you are one tough SOB, but so am I. I watched this whole wretched affair on big screen. One observation, the refs today put a whole new meaning on the phrase, "letting 'em play." There was more hitting going on out there today than the NY Giants and Forty Niners game last week.

I'll echo this sentiment. There was no reason for that loss other than missed FT's and Bunnies. I'll bet you RM chewed up his seat on the flight back from Amherst. GDigit I am so po'd at this unnecessary L... I think I'm gonna trash my laptop! What did we hit on FT's 8-19 or something totally stupid like that? I guarantee if we somehow find our way into the dance we will lose on FT's if it doesn't improve. Why wouldn't someone foul us? We can't make the d+&n things! Granted UMass was out of their mind in the first half shooting like 65% and we shot 39%. Then the run back to get it as close as 5 just to see it all go right down the toilet to those Gdigit FT's. C'MON, BILLS!

If the Conk's hurt, sit him. We got CE, CR, and RL good to go. We need him for a run at least to the sweet 16 and then make the elite 8. Conk's a tough guy, but let's not wreck his SR season.

This game and the philly excursion is where the Bills can prove their mettle to the committee. St. Joes beat Dayton at Hawkville, so it's not going to be easy. But RM's game plans travel well w/ this team. Especially the D. We've not even approached being blown out by anyone and had a couple of bounces gone our way, we'd be ranked about 15th in the country right now. But let's just take it one at a time. X was nice but it's now history. UMass s/be the next victim to receive a Billiken Beat Down.

I think we'd view him in the same vein as that kid from UC, whose name escapes me at the moment. However, I think the UC kid was dirty on purpose. BC just plays hard physical basketball with no intent to do harm. Well, other than that elbow he threw at that kid from Charlotte.

Yes, missing the bunnies is frustrating, but we also drew fouls on those. FT's will determine close games, of which I expect we're gonna have a lot of very soon.

Probably the most encouraging thing about last night was we closed it out by making our FT's. 13-14 from the line at the end. If we'd shot FT's that well we'd have beat Temple the other night and not allowed Charlotte to make a run at us. It would have been a shame to lose last night if we'd failed to make FT's. They just played too well. Keep it up Bills because those FT's are just going to keep getting bigger and bigger the further we go this season.

Lyons was 5 for 5 from 3 land at one point last night. When you're hot you're hot, it doesn't matter who's guarding you. I'll agree that RM's strategy last night was to just disrupt their offensive flow, make them work hard for points, and create some TO's. It worked. We won, guys. And for my money, I'll take JJ over KC anyday of the week. Yes, he's a little careless at times. But at least the opponents D has to be on guard because he'll take it inside any time he sees an opening.

Go back and look how we've played all year. Yeah, some disturbing games, eg Temple (my fault, I shouldn't have travelled to the Fetz), UNM, Dayton, and especially that mis scheduled game against LMU (who?). But no one... make that no one... has blown us out. We've been in every one of 'em right up to the end. A shot here or there or hit some FT's, we're pretty much undefeated. But we're not, we're 15-4, and after we down UMass, 16-4, we'll stay atop the A-10. The D's doing it guys, and am sure RM won't let you forget it. Keep it going, Bills. The NCAA or BUST! Gotta happen for Conk and KC.

I'm working priceline right now for a flight to Denver. I've done a risk reward analysis on moy's offer and it's pretty damn close. You offered Jimbo free beers? Are you a retired Wall St. investment type who took his eight figure bonus and now skis every day for a living?

Well, since I'm a long time Giants fan and plunked down a $100 at the beginning of the season getting 19-1 odds they'd win the SB, tonight's game is a little less stressful for me than the GAME. Still, it's X and SLU, and since we joined the A-10 we have a team that has the best shot at beating them at Cintas, so it's a biggie. If they lose we're all gonna feel like you know what, but hang tough, we still have to go to UMass on Saturday. We don't want a 2 game losing streak at this point. I'll also say if this conference season we don't end up at least 11-5, we're gonna win out in Atl City. I just don't see this team being denied a shot at the Dance this year.

Look right now, Al, you better be focused on the NY Giants beating Brady and the Pats. I'd take Zaga in a heart beat as well. :ph34r:

My point earlier was when we played in Anaheim the 3s and FT's were falling. We were hitting on all cylinders. It's in there we've just got to pull it out for every game from here on out. This week's games will be battle royals. Not saying the sky's falling if it doesn't go our way in the 'nati or at Amherst, but it will certainly put a lot more pressure on them from here on out. Which should be obvious even to the most casual observer.
