I didn't look through the entire list ... just for the Bills. I don't think 76 is that far off base for us as a start. I think we will play better than that and move up substantially as the year goes on, but I think most of us agree ... we have some things to prove at the beginning.

Reading comprehension ... did you just get in the discussion today? The response was to his statement that A-10 soccer was weak. Compared to what? The three choices have been MVC, Watered down CUSA, or A-10. That is why the comparison with the MVC. Not only that much of the Stl. media seemed to be suggesting that the MVC was the better fit for SLU for the last couple of months. My point was Bernie has no clue ... I bet he hasn't been to more than a couple ... if any SLU or other soccer games since he has been in STl. Please don't suggest that we can't comprehend what we read.

I just read the article on the Bills athletic page. It sounds like Martin was spectacular. As we all know great goalkeeping can win you close games ... and as it sounds in this one set the tone for a game. Martin made a big early save before Vedad netted the first goal at the 8th minute. If UAB scores that 1st goal ... this is an entirely different game, with very likely different results. John D. My hat is off to you. 2 goals created by set pieces started by him. 1st on a well placed free kick to will John who sent it home ... and the second on a free kick hooked around a wall into the corner of the net. I have said it before and I will say it again ... If you have not seen John D. play ... GO to the home play off games ... he alone is worth the price of admission and the time you will spend. Just to see his accuracy on any dead ball is amazing ... every one within 40 yards is a real scoring opportunity. In the last home game the winner by Wickart was a perfectly placed corner to Kevin's head ... he didn't move just hammered it home. I don't beleive I have ever ... and I don't say that lightly ... seen anyone more accurate.

This is a strange year ... not the usual dominance by some teams and we seem to be overly respected in the polls, who knows if that will help us in seeding. I think to even have a chance for a #2 seed we need to be in the finals of the CUSA tourney. A win and we could get a #1. I agree with courtside ... regardless of our results at home as compared to on the road ... we want to be at home. We will have a big crowd... it should help. This year ought to teach our young guys that you can never let up ... and every game counts. Blowing that big lead at Cinci cost them the outright title. But luckily in a conference tourney a 1 seed or a 2 seed it is not much if any different. Congrats to the guys for a big win. It seems we are healthier and playing our best soccer of late. Was anyone at the game?

Courtside ... I know you are well informed on soccer ... give him your # and please have him call you if he feels the urge to spout nonsense. You can give him good info and he won't come across looking like an idiot to the informed.

Courtside ... good to hear from you. If Cinci wins and we win we finish with identical conference records. With them beating us ... how does that give us the CUSA crown. I agree a win today will be tough. To much work to figure out what happens with a Cinci loss and a tie for us ... as that is what I think will happen ... Do you know?

I haven't done a lot of research ... but as a whole the A-10 may be weaker ... but I think at the top they are just as good ... and with the addition of us and Charlotte will be better. Not only that it is probably stronger than the new CUSA. The MVC isn't that good in soccer either. I'm not sure when they became a National Soccer Power.

Cinci is 5-2-1 right now ... if we win and they win we will be tied ... they beat us. If Marquette beats Cinci ...they are both 5-3-1 what is that web address for CUSA soccer ... Thanks

After researching a little I think we win the regular season outright if Marquette beats Cinci and we beat UAB. Either way we need to beat UAB. I'm not 100% sure though ... I think I read in the PD what I put in my previous post.

I'm not 100% sure ... but I think that puts us tied with Louisville but they would get the championship based upon their victory over us. It would though give us a 1st rd bye in the CUSA tourney ... if we can win that we would almost be assured of a couple of home games in the NCAA tourney.

I 2nd that ... Huge games for both teams. Without a doubt the most important game in the history for a young Lady Bills. Marquette needs to beat Cinci ... to help the men out.

It is possible but IMO it won't happen ... I think Crean is a good coach who will keep them good for a long time. Same as Brad is for us. If we would have gotten Brad 3-4 years ago ... we might be the one in the Big East.

That is what I was thinking I don't think I have ever had even much of a debate with Roy. Actually ... we usually agree on a lot of issues. I agree ... I doubt Marquette goes down far ... of course they may not be back in the final four ... but I think they will be very competitive. I think we have to be sure that we continue the upward swing that Brad has started ... We would be closer to being left out than Marquette unless we can be consistently in the top 3 or so of the A-10 every year. Before everyone gets up in arms ... I believe we will ... I'm only saying that we need to better than our 4th - 6th or 7th finishes we've had in CUSA.

We agree on Iverson ... I just told a customer on my car lot this morning ... I couldn't sell him a car while he was wearing an Iverson jersey. But as far as basketball skills ... that is nice company to be in.

He does have offensive deficiencies but have you ever seen a player with his size that can get to the hole and finish like he does in any situation. Marque's biggest need is to be able to distribute the ball ... he doesn't have to be fancy ... just steady with a good assist to turnover ratio. If he can also improve his midrange jumper and his three ... he will play in the NBA. I get the NBA channel on the Dish Network ... Hopefully I can see him play.

I would think we have a good chance win or lose today ... but better safe than sorry, lets get the win.
