The guy I normally go to the shootout with just cancelled, which leaves me going alone. Just wondering who else was going from the board ... and anyone else going alone?

Larry has clearly put in a lot of work on his shot. I think he is well on his way to becoming the player we all thought he would be.

I think that 90% or more of the girls on the babyblues or the cheerleadeing squad do not have a weight issue. You would have to be very thin to look great in those uniforms. I know for sure that I do not want to wear them

Ok guys ... I don't want to be a referee but this has gotten out of hand. We all know Rich doesn't like soccer and even though the people who do like it and want to participate in a soccer thread prefer that he leave his negative comments out, he feels the need to get involved anyway. Ok so let it go and skip over them ... this argument is getting old ... everyone knows how everyone feels, so lets move on.

I think that it is the uniforms, they are not flattering at all. The tops are tight around the upper stomavh and the bottoms are tight around the lower stomach ... which in turn pushes outward

I agree that if Ross is getting significant minutes on a regular basis we are probably in trouble. Though I think some people are going a little overboard with their assesment off IO. He had a bad game and was injured, to compound that he was probably playing against one of the best defensive players he will see this year. The guy was a shot blocking machine. Playing against him was probably a blessing in disguise as after watching the game Brad will teach him how to approach a taller player of that skill level. We shot badly ... ok, it was one exhibition game. Experience tells us that JF, CS, and AD are all better 3 point shooters and probably will not shoot that badly as a team again this year. Add to that RB will be playing significant guard minutes after the 1st 3 games. Friday will give us a better chance to assess where they are as a team.

So we learn ... anytime I wanted to reply to a certain post, I hit reply of that post ... Just a question as this is the only board I chat on, is there another way to post on a certain thread Thanks for the help

I think JJ will work his way back. I thought he looked good for the few minutes he was on the floor. I think he is a huge key for us ... if he can contribute this year it allows us so many more options.

BTW the solicitation for donations still stands ... anyone wanting to help out please let me know. Remember this is for Rich ... no gift is too small ... every little bit helps.

Your discussion of this is ridiculous ... Why can't we just discuss soccer in peace ... No one said soccer was the most popular sport in the USA, nor do we think it is. As far as being defensive ... why do we even have to defend it against anything ... it is simple ... if you don't like soccer, why do you feel it neccessary to post negative comments on the board. As far as Rich is concerned ... I like Rich and his posts. (though I have never met him). I know he is just being sarcastic and that is ok with me. My post above was just giving him a little S%*& back. I hope no one really read that and thought it was fact. Please say you didn't. Rich and I have argued back and forth a little before and I believe we both know it is good natured. Now ... I wouldn't be upset if he left soccer posts alone ... We all know he doesn't like the sport ... but if he doesn't and wants to continue to post negative comments ... I will give him some in return either way is ok. To me it is all in fun ... and I am pretty sure Rich feels the same. Rich ... If I was correct above and you do wish for assistance with your problem ... I would still be willing to help.

I have researched this ... talked to family and friends. If you are a real friend you will help with the cure. It is a disease beyond his control please help ... If you cannot then a donation to the fund to find a better cure would certainly help out.

Rich has a problem he can't help it, I've done some research and discovered the problem ... when he was a kid he was the one that took his ball and ran when things didn't go his way. His mommy let him cry on her shoulders and told him the soccer players were meanies when they beat him up. Please go easy on him as this wound is deep ... Maybe we can find some soccer players, hold them down and let Rich spit on them ... we just have to make sure we don't let them go until he has run away and is safely at home. I know this sounds like a pretty radical cure ... but Rich needs us

STLBlazer ... it is a pleasure to have you on this board. It is great to have someone who is a fan of another team but can remain objective after looking at the reasoning on an issue.

I bet Brad works on that and you see something different next time. I will be surprised if we see someone as adept at blocking shots as this guy was. He went to Ball St. and holds the record for career blocks in the MAC.

IO was intimidated ... it was very easy to see that. But ... it is 1 game against a guy that was bigger and just as quick as he was ... not to mention an outstanding shot blocker. I thought we did not take the ball at the big guy ... we tried to get cute around him. We should have gotten the ball inside ... pumped and gotten him to leave his feet and commit a couple of fouls early , instead we tried to lob it up over him. DIDN"T WORK. TF should have went strong at him also and made him use his body on him ... not just swat balls out of the air.

What part of my saying TF is going to be far superior to KB offensively, sounded like KB sucked. But if you want me to ... I will say it now ... KB was an average rebounder for his size and quickness and had horrible skills on the offensive end of the floor. I don't know how many time he could have dunked the ball ... but instead he threw up a brick. Now defensively KB ... was a monster ... I only hope TF can approach KB on that end of the floor. I like KB and think he gave his best effort every night ... and I as a fan will never ask more than that.

Billiken Law ... you are kidding right. He played against a 7 footer who was very agile and quick defensively. He attacked the ball on rebounds, and has a nice touch on his shot. I'll give you 2-1 odds right now that after he is done at SLU his numbers eclipse KB by 20%.

The conference tourney didn't help CUSA ... Charlotte? come on now. Louisville got beat early and UAB's last 2 games 3-1 / 5-1. You shouldn't make it with those 2 losses as your last games. I don't care who it was against.

My observations TF ... he is a monster on the boards, this guy attacks the ball. He also has a nice touch and good offensive skills. He will easily be our best real big man in quite some time. IO ... very dissapointing. Instead of taking the ball strong at their 7' center ... he just kept trying to put up fancy lob shots, and could not beat their 7' er off the dribble CS ... I apologize for ever suggesting he should come off the bench. He was our only big man not intimidated. JF ... looked good going to the hole I wonder if we are going to check someone shooting a jump shot ? 1,715 blocks ... I think that is a world record / 915 on one player (IO) also a record. 2-19 ... did they think he was going to block those also?

2-2 pk win in CUSA tourney final for our last game ... I think that hurt us the most. Cinci and Indiana were on the road. W. Ill was a while back

I'm a basketball fan also ... my point was simply as stated ...if getting the 7th seed in the NCAA tourney is a waste of emotion and time ... then how should we feel after a typical Billiken basketball season. Rich ... you really should get a life ... if you have nothing better to do then knock the soccer posts you obviously don't care about. Not only that ... if we were going to start a basketball against soccer thread ... why don't we make it a Billiken Bball against Billiken Soccer thread. I don't understand why you continually knock a sport that the school you support has the most success in.
