Neither I nor my wife who is the UT Alum send ANY of our money to Knoxville. How can a goof like you even write something asinine like that about anyone that you don't personally know. Yes, I do root for my wife's alma mater just as she did when she attended Billiken games both home and away games when we lived in St. Louis. I don't see any reason why I should not root for the Vols. Their sports teams have been very successful and fun to root for.

Willie...I have not lived in St. Louis since 1996. Moved a few times since then. In '96 to the Seattle area and from 2000 to now 3 different moves in Florida. Don't see the need to continue to be a member when I can't attend meetings. Back in my St. Louis days made many trips with the Club for close by road games.

IMHO a very attainable goal for the Billiken hoops program considering the facilities are light years better than when I graduated from SLU in 1971 (West Pine Gym) is to get an NCAA bid every 3 out of 5 years. Certainly, playing in the A10 that isn't asking too much. I don't see Travis Ford ever reaching that goal, he's had one bid to date. If some do then that's fine we'll never agree that he is a good HC. Does not mean I don't root for them. As an Alum, former season ticket holder, former Billiken Club Member...I will always root for them even if I don't happen to like who coaches them.

The A-10 is sure looking like a one bid NCAA Tourney conference. Bills need to finish in Top 4 or better.

Sloppy a lot of times but 5 players in double figures shows the ball was shared well and in the end a good double digit win today. Now let's see if we can beat Davidson who absolutely owned us in recent years especially last year.

Very good road win without Yuri Collins today. Nice to see Perkins and Pickett have big games together.

Lisa suffered a heart attack today.

It was a nice comeback win by the Bills tonight especially considering the adversity they faced. Normally, on a teams home court the zebras give the home team the benefit on calls that could go either way and we won in spite of them tonight. I watched the game on ESPN+ and when they spanned the crowd I did see what appeared to be many empty seats and what surprised me were the ones close to the court.

Fred was a true team player on the court, and also a great student. He did a lot with his ability on the court. Best of luck to you young man!

Did not hear the whole story but since he was arrested for assault I'd assume his fiancee was the person who called the police. Sure is interesting that she now supports him. Do agree that he has a heckuva record as a HC, but if SLU dumps Ford then I doubt he gets a call.

Well you can say BS but the SEC is a meat grinder compared to the A-10. Take that from someone who knows that for certain since I also follow the SEC very close. His record was 117-54 at K-State including an Elite 8 in 2010. I'd take him any day over Ford!

One thing not factored into computers are the HC's. Frank Martin is a very good HC. This will be a tall task for SLU on the road. Another game I would not bet the house that we pull off.

When we last lived in St. Louis our SLU season Tix were in the same section as Father Biondi's. Someone would have to advise me what those Tix would run at Chaifetz now. I feel for the fans laying out their money and watching the product you are seeing. Don't think there is anyone on this website with the insight to really know if Ford is feeling any heat. Don't know because the dude who hired him still runs the SLU Athletic Dept. That alone gives me little comfort with the current situation.

I don't even care what the oddsmaker say on SLU if I was betting I would not go anywhere near wagering on them.

Read Rick's book My Life on a Napkin sometime. Read it when he coached the Bills. Wasn't an easy book to find as it only covers part of his great career, but I gained some good insight into him as a person and as a HOF HC. His years at SLU even though we had moved to FL were memorable for me. Did get back to see the Bills play a couple times.

Rick Barnes is a future HOF Coach right after he retires at UT.

Much needed win tonight by the Bills. Gibby could not throw it in the ocean early but got it going by driving to the hoop. There were a lot of contributors, and Thatch played an important part in the win. Seemed that we pushed out their shooters out from their sweet spot a lot in the 2nd half. Beat SIUE and then on to A-10.

Yes, it is but that was one of the reasons I was never really excited about the Ford hire in the first place. He had oodles of talent at a Power 5 school and did not really have results that were anything to shout about.
