Just because a guy doesn't get drafted doesn't mean he was a fine college player and that was what your original post that day was about. A page full of guys you thought were better college players than Johnson. The guy scored about 1700 pts, had 1100 rbs and 250 blks. He's undersized for the NBA though. That game is a different animal.

Then torch threw in the part where he thought AJ was a lottery pick and the topic sidetracked. Somehow ever since you've attributed that statement to AJ. This will be Peeler's 11th year in the NBA I believe. He must be doing something right. He's been mostly a solid role player for his career. But I think he did have a few years with Vancouver where he averaged 18 pts or so, when he had a chance to start.

I say try to make a run at John Lucas from Baylor. He's a heck of a player and will be able to play right away without having to sit out a year.

That people I talk to that saw Ricky around Columbia said he wore the same ratty clothes nearly every day.

I just saw alot of speculation without alot of known facts there Roy. You belive every rumor you hear. You mentioned what may have happened with these players or what could have happened with Horton's dad. Just alot of maybe's, possiblys, and if's in what you say. I'm not saying there haven't been problems but unfounded rumors (ACT BS with Mckinney and Paulding etc) aren't smoke IMO.

So basically alot of it are rumors you hear.

Why are people making such a big deal out of the "I wasn't conscious" quote? Geez people he didn't mean he was unconscious when he gave Clemons the clothes. He meant he wasn't aware of alert of what he gave him because he didn't think it was a big deal. I really don't see why that quote has been disected so much.

Clemons also was playing with a broken wrist towards the end of the season, just to get that point out there.

AJ Arete is the only one that posts here consistently. MUtiger and me rarely post unless a Mizzou topic is going on.

I don't think you guys are obsessed with Mizzou (Billiken Roy may be an exception I can understand Mizzou being discussed here when we make news for crap like Clemons. It makes for good discussion that's for sure. But when the "Romar gets probation" thread starts and somehow that immediatly turned into a Mizzou gets probation discussion, that may give people that read the board the idea that you're obsessed a little.

Slu is rarely mentioned by anybody on that board really, except for the one guy you mentioned. I think the real difference is the longest threads on this board seem to be anything Mizzou related. And on the rare times I've seen a SLU mention on tigerboard the thread doesn't drag on forever like the Mizzou threads here and the one posting is usually that guy you mentioned. Kansas is a different story. You'll have Mizzou posters over there talking and ripping on Kansas all day long.

Conley may have come anyway, we don't know. He did know Snyder already and that's why we were at the top of his list. He met him in our recruitment of Kleiza. Look, do you really think a kid doesn't transfer without looking at other schools first to see what's out there? Kids want to know if a scholly awaits them before giving up one. I'm sure you'd make a big stink if Bill Laurie gave 2,000 dollars to the STL eagles and then players off that team start coming to Mizzou in droves. It also is funny how you defend Washington's illegal contact with recruits, but you were all over Snyder for his contact with McBride and Iguodala a few years ago. You just seem a little hypocrytical on some of these issues.
