bonwich
From a St. Louis history group that I follow: "January 14, 1915: 102 years ago today, the Saint Louis University Basketball team played its first game on record. The Billikens won, beating 'Company E,' believed to be a company in the Missouri National Guard. The final score was 72-2. "Saint Louis University's athletic teams became known as the Billikens in 1911. They were previously called the Blue & White."
