billikenfan05
I am a little concerned that the public display of humiliation that a&m put on us will hurt attendance. I am really hoping thats not the case any thoughts? "I was on fire, I was hotter than a pistol" Jason McElwaine If theres no SLU basketball in heaven I'm not going!!!!!! bonwich
A win might have marginally increased attendance, but one bad loss isn't going to affect us for a non-conference-Saturday-afternoon-Thanksgiving-weekend game, which was likely to be sparse anyway. willie
For whatever reasons we never draw well untill Christmas. Hopefully if we are winning the crowds will come after North Carolina. North Carolina should be close to a sell out.
brianstl
The only way you can get a ticket is to purchase season tickets to the remaining games or purchase a ticket package. As of last week there were less than a thousand of these still available.
AlumniFan
That was a brilliant move by the AD. If you wanted single game tickets to UNC, you are out of luck, but if you buy a package, or better yet, season tickets, then you get UNC tickets. Very smart. Good way to build up attendance and get people to come to more games. This board beats up on the AD/AD office pretty regularly, but this was a very good move. ILbillikenfan
Student attendence is always low at this time, considering the majority of them are out of town. I wonder if the SLU/UNC game is affecting UofI/Mizzou ticket sales. I know a lot of families don't have time to go to both.
brianstl
I think CL has done a fantastic job so far. The way they are dealing with the UNC game tickets is great. They saw they had a valuable commodity and are treating it as such. I would like to see them do a better job of marketing overall. I don't know if there is a lack of money for an increase marketing, but I think it would really pay off in the long run. That said, making and winning in the NCAA tournament would be the best marketing for the men's team.
