word on the street is that brandon polk from redlands j.c. is scheduled to visit this weekend. he is a very athletic combo forward from wichita. redlands went to national tournament last year.

If Brandon Polk commits to SLU and qualifies, it would be good for Brad Soderberg because (aside from the "Polk to Polk for the dunk" line) currently there's no other player besides Anthony Drejaj slated to graduate in 2006 and getting a juco in the 2004 recruiting class would help balance the classes a little. To me, ideally, there would be three (or four) players in every recruiting class. Right now Brad might not be able to offer more than one for 2006 unless there are defections, which we don't want.

no, i don't think taj is coming, but brandon is plenty good enough to stand on his own merits. very quick, very athletic, strong rebounder. skill level improving all the time.

Yes but the european players are known to leave early when money is staring them in the face. Personally, it would not surprise me if Izik left after the 2004-2005 season (unless he is serious about getting a degree and stays for that).

Izik has to leave after the 04-05 season. He lost a season of eligibilty, he was a sophomore last year. If he was to leave early it would have to be this year.
