davidnark
Sportsline.com has posted a list of its top 100 juco recruits. http://www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/6400944 A couple of interesting notes: -Frericks is listed at No. 70. Marques Lewis is not listed, and Dedric Spooner is listed at No. 56. -Randy Pulley is listed at No. 17, but Brandon Morris is not listed. A few months ago, Brad specifically compared Morris to Pulley; according to Brad, Morris can handle the ball and defend as well as Pulley, but Morris is a superior shooter and does a better job running a team on the floor. -Our buddy Spoon signed 4 players in the top 41, which included 3 players in the top 11. -Cincy and Louisville each signed 2 players in the top 14. -Charlotte signed 3 players on the list. thetorch
Anyone know who the kid named Glass is? He lists his hometown as St. Louis, and he is going to Ole Miss. I have never heard of him or don't remember. Curtis Marshall was ranked high. He is playing for Bobby Knight at Texas Tech and is from McCluer North HS in Florissant. In a response to the rankings a poster asks why Joel Shelton isn't in the top 100.
DeSmetBilliken
I must say that Joel Shelton is an interesting story. He was Mr. Basketball in Missouri and a 1st Team Juco All-American, yet no college seems to want him on their team. I guess that's what happens when you are 5-9 and only play the 2-guard position. tseugnekillib
Since he only spent one semester at SEMO, my guess is that Shelton is far short of accumulating the necessary hours for the required juco degree. I watched him play twice with Mineral Area last year. He is strictly a shooter/scorer and gets his points. Maybe he will end up at UMSL some day.
