Billiken Law Posted December 15, 2003 Share Posted December 15, 2003 I wouldn't call a 10 point win at home "big" (especially if you compare how SLU did at McKale). I was obviously disappointed but for 30 minutes MU played really well. The problem was that for the last 10 minutes UA played great, they would have beaten anyone in the country playing like that. 13 for 20 from 3 point range (many from beyond 22 feet), MU in foul trouble (Merrit and Novak with 4), it was a tough loss but a character building game for MU and for the most part I can't say I'm overly upset. I honestly was worried UA would run away with this one. MU doesn't play well against running teams (see Kansas, '03 final four) but they hung in.
