Chicago Billiken
Seems now a days if you can finish .5000 you can get into the post-season. I would love to here what some of you folks in the "'Lou" who get to watch the Billikens on a regular basis think about the Bills chances for finishing .500 Official Billikens.com sponsor of Kevin Shortal
DeSmetBilliken
Basically I'd say that our only chance barring a massive winning streak is to pull off another "Miracle in Memphis" and get C-USA's automatic bid. The early season hurt us too much.
AlumniFan
A very long longshot. Most of the games left are against teams with pretty good records. I think we can win half of the rest of our games, but to be above .500 for the entire season means winning 10 out of the next 12 games. I just do not see that happening. Quality Is Job 1
Assuming the Bills beat Fort Wayne, they'll need a 12-4 C-USA record to offset their seven-game-under .500 3-10 non-conference record. And that would put them at just 15-14 with the Conference USA Tournament looming. Now, that 12-4 record might get them a bye in the tourney, yet they probably couldn't get an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. They'd probably still have to win the quarterfinal to stay eligible for an NIT bid. However, it doesn't seem reasonable to think that the Bills are going to go 10-2 in their last 12 regular season games. But, we'll take it one game at a time and see what happens. courtside
over .500 record, overall, and some wins agaisnt decent teams, Uc, or U of L etc....sure. Realistic, no, but mathematically possible, yes.
