Well, I responded: "It's a mythological creature, much like a Spartan." Our very own ET would have been proud. History lessons. Overall, if we couldn't beat Michigan State, we sure exposed several of their weaknesses which will be exploited by Pitino. They are not the World Beaters the folks at CBS think they are. Great game - nothing to be ashamed about. We are back. I agree. I think weakened them up for the mighty Cardinals to finish them off. In many ways, we exposed that overrated program. Are you serious about MSU finishing in the bottom half of the A10? Do you realize we won the toughest conference in America? The A10 isn't even a major conference. Do you realize how awful we played yesterday? It was our 2nd worst performance other than when we lost to Illinois this year. Saying you would beat us 9 out of 10 times is hilarious. Explain to me how our program is overrated? We have the 2nd most sweet 16 appearances only trailing Duke over the past 15 years. We have more Final Fours in the past 15 years THAN ANY OTHER SCHOOL IN THE NATION? Explain to me how that is overrated? You guys are talking smack and your program has never even been to a Sweet 16. We are scared to play you? We played at Gonazaga this year which is a mid major and the 3rd toughest place to play in America. We had the number 1 SOS in the nation. Maybe some year you can make a Sweet 16 if your coach doesn't die first. He can't even remember his own players names. LOL. We don't call ourselves the tradition but having more final fours than any other program in15 years we could call ourselves whatever we want. The B1G is the TOUGHEST conferrence in America and we won it. Saying we would finish bottom half of the A10 is seriously the dumbest thing I have ever read. I guess you start saying idiotic things when your team has never made a Sweet 16. Soon to have 7 Final Fours in 14 years. Dont hate us that your program will never even make 7 Sweet 16s in 14 years. People can get a little emotional when it comes to stuff like this (and the bottom half of the A10 line was a joke - Jesuit schools tend to crank out smart-azzes, and that certainly applies to us). If anything, Izzo isn't afraid to play anyone, anywhere. That should be appreciated by our fans. Good luck the rest of the way. Now I know they have four teams in the Sweet 16 and we have one, but that is not a true measure of how good a conference is. Its all about number of teams if you ask me. Whining about how your team had a terrible game? yeah, thats what it was yesterday... Or it could have been that we played nails and you underestimated us. Im not gonna say you dont have great players, you do have a few. grats... but they whine and moan about every little play instead of nutting up and playing ball. I dont think either team could say they could win 9 of 10 games in a match up. we both have very effective game plans. 9 times out of ten though, I would prefer to meet the classier people coming out of the programs in the A10 as opposed to the players who have the potential to suck at life coming out of the Big 10 programs.....
