Majerus Rips Players Again

Point guard Kwamain Mitchell of Milwaukee looked like the most refined first-year player. He scored a game-best 16 points and accumulated five assists.

"He's a good kid and this (UMSL) game meant a lot to him," Majerus said. "I think he will be a good player."

Freshman Ruben Cotto of Alton figures to improve after going scoreless in eight minutes.

"It's one game," Majerus said, referring to all of his players. "And Ruben is a lot better player than he showed.

"Overall, we did a good job, even though the kids were tense tonight," said Majerus, pointing to the hoopla surrounding the inaugural game at Chaifetz. "We played hard and gave a good effort."

What a jerk. ;)

what's really funny is that he even put "sarcasm" in the subject line. OUCH!

I was out of town, but it sounds like KM is quite the player. looking forward to seeing him this week against two decent teams.

Hes going to be one hell of a point guard
