  1. Oh that makes more sense. I think she likes it here well enough that she wanted to stay in some capacity.
  2. Brooke is currently a grad assistant on the team.
  3. I'm surprised they haven't yet. Usually by now we're getting fragments of dates. Season starts in 7ish weeks.
  4. Yeah Sarah kind of tackled that when she took over in January. It had been a bit of a quiet point of contention about student engagement and most games it seemed like 80-20 alumni to students. When I started in winter 2013, we had over 100 members as the article said and now post-resignation, it's down to 40ish people on a regular basis. I'll agree that the athletic department hasn't really done much in keeping us in the loop on the new director. There is a social meet and greet event for all members next Wednesday the 30th where everyone can mingle and ask questions, etc. Otherwise, we go full force into rehearsals starting September 7th, which is about 2 or 3 weeks later than usual.
  5. You hit the nail on the head. It's unfortunate, but there's still two factions from the split, much like Brexit it's remains and leaves. There are folks I've known 10 years that I haven't heard a word from in 8 months.
  6. Yeah you're...not wrong. I was blowing smoke mostly. My workplace often omits my team when important things happen, so I'm just frustrated with being in the dark right now.
  7. I agree with this. Too often they act as if we don't need to worry about their decision-making process for some absolutely huge things. I know some folks can be armchair and all that, but have some faith in your fans and boosters, for God's sake.
  8. I think this is something all sports should be doing. Make gameday experiences more affordable so families can actually go watch games in person without having to drop half their life savings.
  9. Can't wait to see what he does unencumbered
  10. Maybe that's good for us? We seem to like to fly under the radar and make a push in February/March in off years.
  11. Bringing Brooke back in this capacity has to be a net win for morale. The dynamic at the end of last season was unbeatable.
  12. I'm surprised no one I know remembers him being in the band, he was probably in a couple years before I was. I got into it in 2013 and that's the first I've heard of him. Thanks for letting me know.
  13. I'm ready for Dayton to just be bottom of the barrel sometime soon. The fanbase is insufferable.
  14. If he doesn't know, we'll tell him, don't worry.
  15. "They" being the athletic department liason. We've yet to hear from the new director, but a number of us have reached out to local friends in the music world to find out more about him. I don't imagine we'll hear anything from the new director until his August 1st hire date.
  16. We have. They emailed us about 3 days prior to the official announcement mentioning they considered alumni an integral part of the band and they wanted to "work" with us.
  17. Great episode! For the band part, Mr. Unnerstall will be the first director not to have a SLU affiliation. The Pep Band did actually start as a jazz band, but morphed into what you see today. We have really no idea what to expect with the new director.
  18. It's always a favorite among the band, we love using it as a hype song.
  19. You're absolutely right, but 25 won't go away, thats a major sticking point for us.
  20. We'll play it first game back, you have my word.
  21. He would have only been here one and done, anyway. Who care if it was under Crews, we get a really fun and good season and get bragging rights to Tatum and his stardom.
  22. J Good is all of us when our moms want us to take pictures.
