  1. The coaches will be straight with him. If he comes to slu, he isn't expecting to be the starter.
  2. I haven't heard that Cook wants to be a starting point guard. He started at SIU and left to Gonzaga knowing he wouldn't start... Doesn't seem like starting matters too much to him imo.
  3. give me suggs and timme, i am fine without kispert (i know that is an unpopular opinion)
  4. Didn't play too much but I am all in on taking a one-year guy from that program. No doubt the kid learned some things that could greatly help team blue.
  5. I think the pundits we realize this next year that we should be favored every year... We are losing two very special players, but with what we got coming in and returning - I don't think we will miss a beat. If anything, our offense will be much better with shooters and a big man that can match up against anyone.
  6. Bummer. Doesn’t happen often, but we’re getting out-dueled in net. Need to test him this last 20.
  7. Shooot - i would say Shildt take notes too. The only local coach with larger success than Shields is Berube with his stanley cup run. Everyone take notes on what Coach Shields is doing.
  8. This team... this team can do some special things - and they're better next year... Wow! Go Coach Shields... Travis, Kevin, everyone - take notes
  9. Tramaine Isabell - not directly Mizzery to SLU but spent time in Columbia. That is who, i assume, little bill is referring to. He is, in fact, not a tool but a stud.
  10. Madsen has a beautiful shot - i want him.
  11. I already love this guy... Can't wait to see him draining threes and alleviating pressure from our professional bucket getter JP.
  12. I think if this year taught us anything, it's that Kenpom and co doesn't matter and they pick "hot teams" when on the bubble. There is no doubt in my mind - not using "revisionist history" - that we were as hot as any billiken team I have ever seen and as any team at the end of last season... 5 games in a row with 10+ winning margins against VCU, Rhode Island, and Bonaventure (and two bottom feeders).
  13. All i want in 2022 is Larry Hughes, Jr.
  14. Yesssir! The year of the Billiken - we sure have the physicality and hopefully the skill to be a terrorizing team like Baylor.
  15. Been a while since I’ve seen a physical domination like that in a title game...
  16. The all-within-3-hours-of-STL team
  17. Baylor beating these guys like a drum. Pretty insane the physicality mixed with the skill. That +4.5 and +165 was a STEAL.
  18. I can't wait til we play someone and throw the all-STL lineup(s) at them - any combination of Fred, Yuri, TJ, Okoro, Nesbitt, and JP... Would be sweet and I can definitely see some sportscenter top plays coming from any of them
  19. TJ's gonna play... I think he's going to be one of our most important players these next two-three seasons.
  20. this would be average 6'7" 220 lbs coming at you
  21. We’re legitimately going to be able to matchup against anyone... also, imagine this lineup if we want to go big - Okoro, Linssen, Perkins, Hargrove, and Nesbitt at the point. Smallest guy out there would be Hargrove.
  22. We have so many weapons that can legit run an offense. Obviously JG and HF are all time greats that got slu back on the map, but until JG established his shot later in his career they were pretty much take it to the rack and rebound guys (very effective at it though). All these dudes can flow with an offense and score however. Yes FT is more of a JG but he plays a much smaller role in the offense than JG did. Wow I am thrilled. Time to get a few more and get to work TF!
  23. Jgood today and Nesbitt tomorrow. Would be fun.
