  1. Even with a defender, how often do you stand around for. 30 seconds or a minute thinking about everything that could go wrong with your shot, all the moving parts that have to go right if the shot is going to go in, right before you shoot? Basically never. It’s not that Has can’t hit free throws. If you watch him warmup, he’s more than capable of hitting 60+%. Nobody is claiming Has is gonna turn into Reggie Miller, but there’s huge difference in taking the 2 shots.
  2. Again, if you watch him warm up before the game or at halftime, he regular hits 4 or 5 free throws in a row. It’s a mental block...like getting the yips in golf. Like how Ankiel became incapable of throwing strikes. There’s very little thinking when shooting a jump shot in the heat of the moment of the game.
  3. I honestly think French’s free throw shooting is a mental thing. He may not shoot 80% in practice like Ford says, but I bet it’s significantly better. And I’m not saying French is going to turn into Steph Curry, but there’s something to be said about catching and shooting, when you don’t have time to think about every moving piece of your shooting stroke. I think it’s something he could develop with work.
  4. I don’t know how to post/link Instagram stories to here, but just Has just posted a clip on Instagram of him draining a nice little pick n pop 3 from the top of the key. It was pretty.
  5. I think it’s automatic because he covers the Bills. It doesn’t bother me, but I understand if it bothers other people.
  6. Out of reactions, but good post. I’d be interested to see if/how much Thatch’s offense/shooting improves his sophomore year (assuming he gets a redshirt) considering Jacobs overall game improved a lot from year 1 to year 2. Have we heard anything on redshirts for Thatch and Gibson? If not, does anybody know when they usually make those determinations?
  7. I think Jacobs is 1 of the few unknowns going into this season. We’ve seen his floor, but I’d argue that he has as much upside (untapped potential) as anyone on our roster. I’d make the same argument for TJ (if he can start hitting even a reasonable percentage from 3...look out!) Obviously, the health of Thatch, and how much/how well Strickland and Lorentsson contribute.
  8. Hey 72, not criticizing, just clarifying, you got Perk starting and Jacobs coming of the bench, right? Either way, you’re point resonates. Those 10 plus Strickland and Lorentsson, with the promise of Okoro after next year. That’s insane depth.
  9. I’m gonna make a very vague, Oracles of Delphi type of prediction, so nobody can come back say I was wrong (AKA a very cowardly cop out ): during the ‘20-‘21 season, we will have the talent and depth to compete with any team in the country, on any given night!
  10. My Dad and I have a running joke, there’s a couple that sit in front of us every game. They arrive 7 minutes before halftime and leave 7 minutes before the end of the game. And during the time in between, they rarely lift their eyes from their phones. They left early during the infamous Davidson game 2 years ago and I actually exclaimed, “YOU’RE LEAVING?!?!?!?” Neither had any response. Drives me nuts!
  11. Stu’s “source” expects Has to come back too! Is it premature to ask for Pitbull?
  12. Has is next. I think I have figured out the whole NBA photographer dilemma. It’s very simple: she had never taken pictures of a werewolf before, and didn’t want to miss out on that opportunity while she had the chance. Let’s F-ing go! #TeamBlue
  13. Ah...I misunderstood his post. Apologies. It’s still weird for me to think about NBA restarting in the Summer. Apologies to @RUBillsFan I totally misunderstood your post. My bad.
  14. But MLB players typically don’t play in the majors right away. I’m not sure how incoming rookies would respond to being told they can’t play this upcoming season because the draft got pushed back. I’m not sure how teams that tanked last year and benefitted from favorable position in the draft lottery would feel about not being able to use their (hopefully) new franchise rookie for an entire season. I understand the idea of what you’re trying to say, but people on both sides would probably shoot that idea down.
  15. Well done! Let’s hope he doesn’t try to dive into all those gold coins like Scrooge McDuck...it will only lead to injury.
  16. Now I’m nervous. I still think they are both coming back. But now that there is a deadline...I’ll be relieved when they finally announce their plans.
  17. *Reinert310 hangs his head and slowly backs away, hoping no one will notice*
  18. I think @Littlebill’s post was blue font post because @Box and Won has a thing for players with great names. Lol.
  19. Any idiot can get a Masters from Wash U. Didn’t you see the tweet, the Texas Longhorns football team averaged a 2.89 GPA last semester. Now that’s impressive! Blue font blue font blue font
  20. That’s the ol’ Reinert310 college plan. Nice to see the longhorn football team following in my footsteps!
  21. TJ Hargrove posted on his Instagram that he had a 3.28. I’m assuming that’s for spring semester. That’s honor roll, isn’t it? I feel old, it’s been so long since I was in school, I can’t remember what counts as honor roll. Either way, he’s obviously taking school seriously. Good for them! Go Bills!
  22. I have no stones to throw. I love Has. I wish him the best no matter what. But he can do all the photo shoots with NBA photographers that he wants, he’s not gonna get drafted this summer. If he chooses the G-League or going pro overseas over coming back for his senior year, more power to him and I’ll root for him to have success wherever he ends up. But that’s just the reality of the situation. My guess is that this is more of a publicity thing to get his name out there. I won’t have any real concern until if/when he signs an agent and any eligibility he has left is gone. Just my 2 cents.
  23. Also keep in mind Lorentsson and Strickland will also be a year older and more experienced. Maybe we don’t replace Perkins’ scoring with just 1 player, but in the aggregate of all those players scoring a little bit more.
