That town is probably a trap. It has evil right in the middle of its name.

Dreadful start to the 2nd half. Just pathetic.

Okoro 2 hand shoves all the time.

Hargrove (+4) and Okoro (+3) are the only plus Billiken players at the half. They are also the only two who consistently put in the effort on the defensive end.
I noticed TJ getting confused who his man was on switches. He needs to get that corrected at the half.

I hate the whole concept of our defense. Pass goes in the interior and the closest help defender leaves his man, not to double the ball, just to hang out halfway between his man and the ball. It's just far enough to to be absolutely a nonfactor on the ball and also leaves an open 3 point shooter. Either double or play straight up. We do not have the long quick defenders needed to succeed in that defense.

Too much self-inflicted damage by the Bills. We got to clean that up. We are getting good shots on offense.
-
Yuri not handling Smith well. We need to go zone.

When I came into Billiken fandom my frosh year in 97-98 we had 3 guys who could take point guard minutes: Jamall Walker, Corey Frazier, and John Redden.
The next year it was Walker, Redden, and Dave Fergerson.
The next year it was Fergerson, Redden, and Marque Perry.
It wasn't until after Ferguson and Redden left that we switched to a primary PG and one backup. In 01 it was Perry with Josh Fisher as backup.
It seems the 3rd PG is a role of the past at SLU. Perhaps it only existed at a time when SLU had failed to recruit a star PG but it was mostly effective with the guys that played in that rotation. With guys like Perry, Mitchell, Jett, Goodwin, Collins, etc. it became unnecessary due to lack of available minutes. I would love to have a combo guard who plays 8 minutes at PG and 8 at SG. Got to have a true backup PG. Guys get injured, sick, fail classes, and all sorts of crappy luck. There isn't really an excuse for having a contingency plan at PG if that happens.

Well, that's what happens when your coach is obsessed with Wings.
Hey, Wings was a great show and introduced America to Tony Shaloub and Thomas Hayden Church.

Saint Louis University is too hood for the MVC! Even horrible conferences have a few decent teams to cherry pick though.....
Funny mistype. Especially when you consider the MVC decided to place its headquarters in the Lou and host its tournament there.

Get Parker back in.

Should be flagarant foul.

Pickett is killing us. Get TJ back in.

Yuri needs to ditch his line drive floater. It is awful.

Yuri is not even running down court now. What's going on?

Get the ball out of Perkins hands. Geez!

Not a smart sequence for Forrester. Dumb shot selection, obvious foul when he had baseline position.
-
Sounds like Chaifetz is rockin!
-
Okoro can't defend straight up. He always pushes out.
-
Gibby with 14 pts. Forrester with 6pts, 4 reb, 3 assists. They are playing great tonight.
-
Yuri is not playing up to standard tonight. That will need to change for SLU to have a chance.

Get Forrester back in.

Are you implying the coach should be spearheading these NIL fundraising groups? I would rather the institution run the show. The possibility of the coach having too much power is quite the poison pill for regime change.
I don't know if Troy is the right person to lead but it makes sense to have a Chaifetz School of Business graduate at the helm. Along with being a former player and current broadcaster he makes sense for the initial leader. They may find a better beurocrat in the future but he seems a solid pick to get the baby birthed and on the ground.
