LaSalle has had key players out earlier this season. Powell, their best player, missed three games, all losses. He missed the game against Villanova, which LaSalle lost by 7. With Powell do they win? Does Bess draw this 6'0" quick guard? Phiri has been back for 4 games and is averaging 12.0 ppg. He went for 20 against UMass. Since Phiri has been back the Explorers are 3-1. This 6'4" junior is pretty good. Freshman Clark is another player back for 7 games, hitting at 10.6 ppg. He has hit 43% from the arc since he has been back. He had been on the sidelines with an injury he suffered last year in HS so he is actually just getting started with his collegiate career. He is a 6'8" G and presents a matchup issue for us. Hankton might be a better option that Foreman on Clark. Their bespectacled 6'10" center Brookins got hurt against UMass, playing only 7 minutes, and missed their last game against VCU. He goes for 8.5 ppg and 3.8 rpg, and leads the Explorers with (only)10 blocks. We will see if he plays tomorrow. Whether Brookins plays or not, French should own the paint tomorrow. Their PG is Carter, a transfer from Marquette. He is one of three players that have played in all 14 games. Isabell needs to be up to the task of stopping Carter.

Top Five Non DH Attendance

Biggest crowd by my records was verse Illinois, 12/06/97 with 32,429. Obviously in the Dome. Kansas drew 22,527 on 12/23/98. Here are some interesting double header attendance numbers:

Just quick Props to Has'. He is now 10th on the Career Blocks with 73, two behind Evans. He is also tied with Remekun for 5th on the Sophomore Blocks Season List with 24

I thought it was interesting that Goodwin was primarily bringing the ball up, setting the offense, then normally passing to Isabell.

Wiley missed an entire year (15/16) due to knee injuries. He missed 13 games in 16/17 and 4 in 17/18 due to injury. To me this history places him in the risk category. I'm not saying I wouldn't take a gamble on him, but his history indicates that you should not have expected a full year out of him.

100% agree. But there have been long arguments on this board with one or two MBM's who would still disagree. Who does't need a 40% three point shooter.

VCU won and fell one spot. We won and stayed where we were. It's going to be tough moving up the NET. -

Not having another body in the lane helped French a lot last night. -

I’m with you on Holloway. He got a lot of eyes on him due to his size. On his flagrant at first I was afraid they would call French for hooking. They had their arms interlocked. I did not see the refs as being a determine factor one way or the other. They were calling the small issues both ways. -

Coach wasn't happy with the win. He told Rammer if we play like that we won't win any championship. -

Coach on the Radio - Tuesday with Travis + Other Radio
HoosierPal replied to HoosierPal's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
Yesterday was Tuesday with Travis. Not much new information. Coach did discuss Gordon leaving for about 30 seconds. Nothing new reported. Two interesting items: Danny Mac asked about Javon Bess' pro potential. Ford said that before this season, he wasn't getting much attention from the NBA. But as you would guess that has picked up. When asked, Ford said Bess might work his way into a second round NBA pick but more likely would be invited to several camps. Bess will have to show that he can play off of other "stars", make shots consistently, and 'do the dirty work'. Interesting on KC, due to four consistent practices right after Christmas, Coach told him he would get increased playing time v Appalachian State. (This was before any hint of Gordon leaving.) In those practices, he was making shots, he was doing the right things, and his team was winning. Coach said that all players need to understand that they have to stand out in practice if they want to get into games. "There can be older and better players on the team ahead of you. You can be a good player, but I can't play everyone." KC picked that up and was rewarded. But then with Gordon leaving, his status became even more vital. -

Commas are important as are Capital Letters: I helped my uncle jack off a horse. I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse. -
If we continue at sub 60% FT, we won’t have any easy games.

Maybe French should try his baby hook shot from the FT line. As long as he stays in the half circle until the ball hits the rim, it's legal. He could even do a little jump with it. Yaneverknow. -
Yes it does, "Games through January 6". Shows 10-4 record. But it will change by tomorrow, again.

Today, the A10 has VCU ranked 46th in the NCAA NET. SLU is the next A10 team, sitting at 59. Dayton is 68th. These rankings change daily and sometimes quite a bit. No one knows how the NET works, or exactly how it will be used. But if you use the past RPI history, mid 40's is normally in the dance*. So if for example, VCU holds steady, but doesn't win the A10 tourney, we could get in 2. 59th place would be a stretch for an At Large bid, unless you are Syracuse.* *mid-40's does not pertain to Syracuse, who seems to get in the tourney no matter where they are ranked.

Jan 21. Check out Danny Mac’s Tuesday’s with Travis and Sports on a Sunday Morning. Coach is making a lot of nice regular appearances on the airwaves.

Thanks for doing this. Where did you pick up that Gordon wanted to play the 3?
