  1. I’m sure the staff will file if they think he qualifies.
  2. With Thatch still MIA, it looks like we are down to a nine man rotation. Here's hoping Weaver can find is Down Town connection.
  3. We play 31, counting Maryville. I think it is 30% for a waiver, which would be 9.3. Yes he is at 10. Hopefully I am wrong. https://slubillikens.com/news/2019/12/21/mens-basketball-jimerson-sidelined-for-the-rest-of-season.aspx
  4. 3. Goodwin is the first Billiken in 30 years to register six consecutive double-doubles. Anthony Bonner in 1989-90 (twice) is the only other Billiken to do so. No Billiken has ever recorded seven straight double-doubles (dating back to 1985-86 season). That's some high cotton. Also, if this game is truly looked at as an Away game rather than a Neutral Site game, it will help our NET with a win. With KSU at 121, this would be a Q2 Away game, rather than a Q3 Neutral game.
  5. Rachel, TeamBlue will be there for you!
  6. I like it. @rgbillikenwe got it. Travis if a boy, Ford if a girl.
  7. RACHEL!! Good luck with the new one. I'm guessing as Coach came through, you might need to name the baby Travis. Here's hoping a SLU victory tomorrow followed, by ample hours, with a new Travis. [Travis name might be awkward for a girl but hey, go with it.]
  8. Watch out for Rachel. She may need some help. I hope she doesn't go to the arena until tomorrow though.
  9. Some of our MBM's sleep at Holiday Inn Express.
  10. Very interesting graph. I attribute our 45% to French, Goodwin and Hargrove attempts at the rim. We need some more 3's and mid range jumpers to even this out. Being 10% above the rest of the league may not be sustainable.
  11. Agree that mid-40's is the target. But we also have no Q1 or Q2 wins to date. We have a handful of opportunities to correct that. We won't get into the 40's without Q1/2 wins. KSU, right now at 122, will be a neutral court Q3 game for us.
  12. Interesting information. The A-10 as of today has 3 Q1 wins. Richmond over Wisconsin Dayton over St. Mary's and are you ready, St. Joseph over UConn.
  13. Ford Track 12/19 https://www.ktrs.com/the-big-sports-show/ Coach is in KC tonight (Thursday), talking to BenFred and Wiese. New stuff below: Told the team yesterday in a meeting, TJ took advantage of his opportunity. TJ will be an elite player, timing is everything. They have been getting him 'ready to go'. He has to understand he isn't going to get 27 points every night. He doesn't have to score 27 to make an impact. He likely will get in the game early Sat. Coach doesn't want to put pressure of high scoring on TJ. Play hard, make an impact. "Fred won't be playing". [So much for that.] "Game time on Hasahn and Gibson. Trying to get things figured out with Gibson." Goodwin has 6 double doubles in a row, and none are 'fluky'. Not even Marcus Smart put up those types of numbers. Best leader the past 2 and a half weeks of any player Ford ever has had. Ford said Goodwin isn't worried about his stats, he just wants to win. His play is contagious to the team. Goodwin isn't overly athletic, he is relentless. In last two games, Goodwin has had 30 deflections. The next guy has 9. Ford to team "What about the rest of you." Said it's a competition between French and Goodwin on rebounding.
  14. This would put likely 4 conference teams in the NCAA.
  15. Pretty neat. Yeah, Belmont has sunk to a Q3 win, and East Wash is now ranked higher. I doubt if EWash will get their NET high enough to make it a Q2 win. A few more losses and Seton Hall might slip to Q3 also. But a loss is a loss whichever quad they are in. If Tulane makes some noise in the AAC, they could get up to Q2 win for us. Boston College should get into a Q2 position for us in their conference schedule.
  16. Okay, not Thanksgiving tourney, but future schedule speculation. Not worthy of a new thread.
  17. interesting. This adds to the strong night, last night, for the A10.
  18. Let's all hope he is cleared in 2 weeks or less. If Fred hasn't been practicing, then it will take a month or so before he is ready for more than spot duty.
  19. Filing in some blanks from the nice interview and excellent report by Bills 06. Bell lucky he played last night. He didn't practice Monday due to his shoulder. Of course, he complimented Maryville. Ford was concerned about a letdown after Auburn. Add into the drama of the injury situation, the players didn't know who would be available. "Last night would not have been possible if TJ had a bad attitude through the times he wasn't playing." "He will be getting in pretty much every game moving forward." He had to be taught the basics, even how to set a screen. Coach gave a lot of credit to TJ's parents for bringing him up the right way. Ford said he is pretty hard on freshmen. Said he has allowed Collins to play through the fire a little bit. Adding to the FT Conversation from above. He looked at the team in the last four or five days and said "enough is enough". "We have to focus and get mentally tougher." "Team FT% historical data doesn't matter. What matters is how we shoot in this game." KSU. Thinks Sneed will be an NBA player. They will match our physicality. Both teams rely on defense and rebounding.
  20. I believe 10 of Hargrove's 13 made field goals this season are dunks. Fun to watch and gets the crowd excited, but how many of those will he get v Langevine, Osunniyi, Toppin, Santos-Silva, Hughes, Wilson, etc. I would like to see more of a 10 to 15 feet jumper. His two 3 point attempts to date, well, I'm not sure either hit iron. We need Hargrove on the floor, but we need more than dunks. His rebounding is certainly a plus and that alone warrants game time, particularly when either French or Goodwin are on the bench.
  21. Dat true. With French out, and Bell seeing only a few minutes, we had no one to challenge at the rim. Perkins and Hargrove played a lot in the paint and maybe were unsure of rotations. No coincidence that our worst defense game of the year was when French was on the bench.
  22. Bell was also 'dinged up'. He was a game time decision on playing, which of course he did.
