  1. Neutral court. K State's home court is in Manhattan KS. This game was in KC. KSU was the 'home team' but it counts, in the NET ratings, as a N game. I read that KSU took care of the game administration, so there is where the confusion might have been. Same situation with Auburn, which played our N game 100 miles from their home court. Manhattan to KC is about 135 miles. https://bracketologists.com/team/saint-louis-billikens?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf This link also shows 10 future Q1 and Q2 possible games. Those totals may/will change as the season progresses. And has been discussed, several Q3 games could move up to Q2.
  2. As of today, Kansas State is a Q3 win. Let's hope it moves up to Q2. Today KSU is NET 110 and it was a Neutral Court win. So it is close. When they move up to 100, it will be Q2. Yes, Belmont, Boston College and Eastern Washington could move to Q2. Boston College has the best chance playing in the ACC. They are two slots away from a Q2 win for us. Belmont and EWash might be a little tougher to get to Q2 with the conferences they play in.
  3. The first third of the conference games will go a long way in determining our at large potential. We have three away games, at Duquesne, Richmond and Davidson. All will be tough. Three home games are UMass, GW and Dayton. A 4-2 record keeps us alive, I believe, as long as UMass and GW are wins. Beating Dayton would obviously be huge. Losing two road games could mean trouble Losing all three road games, well let's not go there. Last season we were 1-4 in Q1 and 4-2 in Q2. So far this season we are 0-1 and 0-1.
  4. Yes. They are 2 slots away from a (for us) Q2 win. Today, we have zero Q1 and Q2 wins. Even at 11-2, if today were decision day, the NCAA committee would give us a nice pat on the back and a participation ribbon. We need to get some quality wins in conference, and perhaps have one or two of our current wins move up into a better quadrant.
  5. Even with a loss, Tulane’s NET may improve due to Memphis being at a high ranked team. That’s the way the NET ranking works to an extent. Tulane is on the cusp of giving us a Q2 win.
  6. Perkins played 34 minutes. Jacobs played 24 minutes. Do you want Perkins to play 58 minutes?
  7. Fun article. Kudos to the PD. I chuckle that some of our harsh PD critics still bother to click on their articles.
  8. Updating totals after 35 fivesomes: Jett 33 Mitchell 23 Goodwin 24 Bess 22 Evans 22 Conklin 17 French 13 McCall and Loe 5 Roby 4 Ellis and Reed 2 Remekun and Foreman 1 Rolling this up for the last time. It is pretty apparent that Jordair Jett is the majority favorite for the past decade.
  9. I'm not too concerned about depth either. Historically Travis Ford has gone with an 8 man rotation. He could go 9 deep now, but seems to have chosen 8. When Thatch comes back, he could go 9 or 10 if he so elects.
  10. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/slu-developing-more-sources-of-offense-as-season-progresses/article_e47ab6f9-5330-5bf7-84da-80177d2a7199.html
  11. Updating totals after 31 fivesomes: Jett 29 Mitchell 20 Goodwin 20 Bess 20 Evans 19 Conklin 17 French 11 McCall and Loe 5 Roby 4 Ellis and Reed 2 Remekun and Foreman 1
  12. I wonder where he heard that postgame conference. Coach Macon was on with Rammer. My ESPN+ feed ended when the game did. The Wiz has some connections!
  13. Nope, no mention of Thatch. The Sports on a Sunday Morning link isn't up on KMOX. Perhaps that was where some heard the issue discussed?
  14. I'm working tomorrow. So I don't see a problem. Yes, I would do an interview on December 24, up until about 3 pm.
  15. I guess it is no longer Tuesday's with Travis. This week it was Monday with Travis. https://www.scoopswithdannymac.com/billikens-basketball-update-with-travis-ford-december-23-2019/ Coach felt the KSU game was played like a conference tourney game. Coach said they only prepped for KSU for 2 days. Said coaches still remembered the 35 point beat down KSU gave us here. None of today's players were in that game. Coach felt this was a statement game as to where the program has come in 4 years. Feels KSU is similar to several A10 teams "We don't win the game without the bench. French didn't practice since the Auburn game, except getting a sweat going for 30 min on Friday. He went a week without practicing. He got winded early and was out of rhythm. Everything KSU did was focused on French and Goodwin. They put two bodies blocking out Goodwin and three on French. Tay Weaver is the difference maker. TJ picked up right from where he left off at Maryville. Perkins and Weaver 'carried us' in the second half. This is the type of rotation he has been looking for. Hargrove can do things others can't. He gets off the floor quicker and higher than anyone else. Eventually you will see his jump shot. At some point he will be a lock down defender. The reason he hadn't been playing was primarily due to understanding concepts on defense. Coach said it is maybe harder to go from JUCO to D1 than HS to D1, because not as much is expected from HS and JUCO's only have two years to succeed. Usually you see a huge jump from the junior to senior year in D1. Feels Perkins is ahead of where they thought he would be. Probably best one on one player on the team. Jimerson went down in practice day before Maryville. He was going for a lose ball, thought he had twisted his ankle. They found a very small stress fracture in his foot. He had 20 minute surgery. They haven't filed the paperwork yet, but 'he will receive a redshirt'. Jimerson was not just a shooter, but he drew so much attention it opened it up for other players. Ford said the he is under the threshold. Players come back on the 26th for a 4 pm practice. This is the longest vacation he remembers giving any of his teams.
  16. Interesting results. Twenty have weighed in so far on their Top 5 Decade, Top Team, whatever you want to call it. Here are the results from the 20 five-somes Jett 20 Mitchell 15 Goodwin 14 Evans 13 Conklin 12 Bess 12 French 7 Reed 2 Ellis 2 Loe 2 McCall 1
  17. Mr. Reed did play on the 2009-2010 team, so he did play SLU hoops this decade. Maybe 1/3 of the 67 games he played for SLU were in this decade.
  18. List your five (not six or seven) Billiken favorites for the decade. They need to have played on teams 2010-2011 up through this year's team, for at least one season. No rules on positions or years played, just list your favs. I'm seeing about 7 to 8 common names. Mitchell, Jett, Goodwin, French, and a close one, but going with Evans for #5.
  19. If Richmond or Duquesne or Mason finish 25-6, are they in?
