Love to see the big guys banging into each other.  When, if ever, have we had 4 guys that size with their ability?

Love to see this, I know this is old school, but it plays into that "are guys are sick of hitting each other" mentality going into the season. They'll be bloodthirsty come November.

Very good interview. Mike Kelly did a good job. Gordon very talented. Goodwin does everything well, shot has improved. Isabell is what the team needed. Played against each other in aau ,can get his shot off over anyone.Javon wants to guard the oppositions best player. Wants to stay in the game after career is over. Coach or something.

Anyone know where I can find audio?

Rothstein loves every team. He’s as much propoganda artist as he is reporter, which is why coaches love him so much and why they are all willing to tell him things.

While he is unlikely to deliver hard-hitting, critical analysis, he is very much in on the ground level and usually sees who is up and coming before most people do.

  4. The questions surrounding this team were about Senior leadership, guard play, and shooting. Isabell answers two of the three of those questions firmly. For a young man, still only 22, to realize his past mistakes and reflect so openly on them is awesome. You can guarantee he is going to be well received in the locker room and that he is going to make an impact on his team.

I thought I had reached max hype levels, I haven't, someone turn on some Pitbull.

So far, all non-conference road games are in nice venues. Carbondale's arena used to be a hole, but I was really impressed with their renovation. Houston is currently renovating the Fertitta Center, which will be ready in time for the season. Seton Hall plays in the Prudential Center, an 11-year-old NHL arena and former NBA arena - until the Nets moved to Brooklyn and began playing in Barclays Center, where we face Pitt.

The new Houston arena is going to be cool. We will be making the trek from Dallas to Houston with many DFW Billikens. There will be a lot of blue in the crowd.

  6. Great post.

I'm a diehard and I could not be more hyped for the upcoming season so I'm obviously biased, but I think Ford's approach to recruiting has been beyond reproach. For years Bills fans have bemoaned how little NBA level recruits have noticed the Bills. Whether or not Ford lands every major STL prospect, he has put us in the conversation as long as he is in Mid-Town. No longer is SLU an after though or a prayer, but a contender for every great STL recruit. People thought there was 0 chance we were landing either Goodwin or Gordon, well, we got both.

Furthermore, he and his staff have put balanced recruiting approach that is truly national in scope. If you look at the Gonzaga and and xavier's of the world, you'll notice they always feature a balanced roster of star players and dedicated role players, not every player needs to be some heralded Scout of 247sports.com legend. Hell, even Carolina has strayed away from the one-and-done model to mold teams and players that are together for multiple seasons.

The wins are coming. I hope this team gels, I hope the Chaifetz is filled again this season, my fondest sports memories are the sold out days of 2012-2014. We were loud and people were scared to play at the Jewel of Midtown. Fill the seats and Ford will keep filling the rosters.

Honestly I’ve never had more people come up to me and ask me about the Billikens or SLU or St. Louis. Very cool atmosphere down here

Jealous of you sir. I was hoping the Bills would be lined up against the Hogs in my home town.

Well, I don't think they would consider Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Green Bay, IUPUI, Milwaukee, N. Ky., Oakland (Mich.), UI-Chicago, Wright St., or Youngstown St. at this time.

This was a funny post. Well done.

The Mount Vernon campus is quite easy to get to.  There is a shuttle.  Never tried to get to the Arlington campus, but I would assume it would take a little longer.

Shacked with a girl on the Mount Vernon campus during my internship... It was indeed easy.
    ANYWAYS:

Tomorrow's game vs. George Mason will begin at 11:00am CDT.

This is odd, but according to our schedule, we have not played George Mason yet this year.

Arlington is significantly closer (and better for GW) than Mt. Vernon.

GW has their soccer fields in Mt. Vernon, and a satellite campus there. Its why I made the assumption.

So tell me, is this field what so many MBM's are clamoring for?  Can't see much from the angle of the camera, but not very impressive.

When they show the stands you would see it is nicer than ours but exactly what we are asking for.

Because its GDub its actually way off campus. I believe in Mt. Vernon, VA.
