  1. So Barnes and Tatum were tight enough to pull Tatum to SLU?
  2. I think he can guard A-10 pg's. It isn't like he is going to have to play 35 min at the point next year.
  3. The rest can be taught and improved w/ time. Being able to see the floor, get guys in the right spot, lead the break, command an offense and play tough D are all great reasons to have this kid on board.
  4. He will still have another son on the team for at least 1 more year.
  5. It's actually his 4th if you count his time in high school and at Illinois State.
  6. There is no one to hire a soccer coach. They are all wrapped up dragging their feet with the S2 case.
  7. I don't think the school or such is telling them they can't, I think all parties are advising they shouldn't.
  8. I'm sure Blossom would have liked to play some of these games last year, but these tournaments are typically invite only.
  9. He's probably thinking, "Why use all my timeouts when the school won't let me use all my players?"
  10. I wish someone had left me two very good ball handlers like Pressey and Dixon in my career.
  11. Anderson left the program in great shape, just wanted more money and to go back home to where he was an assistant for 17 years prior. Haith inherited a team that went 30-5 his first year. IMO, Anderson especially and to a degree, Haith, did more w/ the program than Snyder did or even Norm Stewart his last 5 or so years. Hiring a coach to take you back to an Elite 8 level that he has never been to himself, for a program with only 2 such appearances the last 25 years, is a bit of a stretch IMO. I think Missouri's basketball reputation is a bit overrated myself.
  12. Anderson averaged 22 wins with 3 ncaa appearances and a final 8 appearance and haith averaged 25 wins with 2 ncaa appearances. Kim stunk, no doubt. Missouri was hardly a wasteland. Cuonzo's marks are no better than mikes or franks.
  13. 2 ncaa tourneys in 9 years equals being hired to revive a program? Yeah, ok.
  14. Thatch maybe, pearson has very little chance. Hope I'm wrong.
  15. It's kind of funny, there have been quite a few articles on Twitter this past week or so saying what a fine job Martin and crew are doing developing Tilmon. Tilmon played 32 minutes last night with no foul trouble and took 5 shots. Illinois had a 6-7 post and a 6-10 finesse post guarding him and Tilmon got 5 shots.
  16. If illinois hangs on, Underwood should go in the mizzou locker room and tell them how hard they played ala martin.
  17. Maybe martin should spend more time prepping for teams in the future instead of saying good job.
  18. Oh brother. They have a good team and have had great success under underwood a while back. I'm sure when your boys get curb stomped down the road, you'll be fine when the opposing coach crashes the tiger locker room to pat them on the head.
  19. I agree. I've seen other coaches do it over the years, but usually it is a NCAA tournament game or some other bigger event. Also, it seems it is usually a hall of famer coach that pulls this off as well.
  20. Tilmon and Porter were rated higher. Quit acting like Martin is in same boat as Ford. SLU will be better in the long run, Martin hasnt fully developed talent yet.
