Cook had ZERO interest in staying in STL. I understand that mentality. We had a better shot at Tatum than we ever had in Cook. We had a better shot at Lebron James...

RM left us holding the bag his last two years as he didn't recruit. It is a known fact that recruiting was at a standstill. Had the two year gap been filled with the players we have become expected to see them last year and this year would be different stories. I agree that quality bigs make or break a team that has average players in other positions. These guys take at least two years to develop especially since the bigs coming in have been used to dominating lesser players that are much shorter. All things become more equal when you enter D1. I will be anxious to see how we bounce back on Saturday. This game will be one of the defining moments that will propel us or stall us.

I'm usually pretty good at sensing sarcasm but maybe my radar needs to be recalibrated after Tatum bruised my hopes for a special year in 2016; however, it's seems to me that you have now established a double standard for Crews and Saint Louis University. You have always tauted yourself as a supporter of being ethical and above-board on recruiting and such, polarizing yourself from Mi$$ou and their usual tactics. Why now are condemning the staff and now the school as failing with the above suggested recruiting tactics. No soup for you…

As far as the bloggers go, I know they are creating relationships as well to get some scoop. It's nice to see someone take the reigns and dig for info. I think you will see some info coming from these guys in the near future.

I've seen Barnes play at least six times this year. He is a good player but I would not say he is dominant nor has great size or lightning quickness. Considering he is playing well in the circuit, he will get some interest that we would otherwise not get during the high school season. I will say he plays with good control and is a decent shooter at best. His speed and size would worry me at this level. I will be curious to see how he develops this summer. I think this class is so loaded that an offer is best kept in the pocket for an outstanding player, ala Curry. It's all about relationships, not offers.

Rumor has it that we could be adding KState home and home as well as UofL in the A10/ACC Challenge. We renewed WSU H/H as has been reported. Some other teams in the works too. Could a decent schedule this year.

The team is playing at Atlantis against semipro teams in the Caribbean. Should be a good experience. Good time for everyone to gel.

He is a stud. I watched him play against SLUH at Vianney. He is a beast. CC was there watching, too!

We are very much in the mix with JT. He comes to campus a ton. He has a great relationship with the staff and players. TC is looking to go elsewhere. I understand that too. 2016 is loaded. We will boost the quality instantly with this class. Three from '16 would be ideal.

Enrolled full time. Whether they go to class is up to them.

They are looking at the transfers but the list is thin. Also, a graduating type would be great but investing the time and energy into a one year guy is a high risk-to-reward situation which will be a short term grab if it works. Don't be surprised if they save it for 2016 and concentrate on the current players but they are looking. The new guy plays like KM but with a better shot. Not saying he is the next coming of KM but the style is similar. He is more of a 2 than a true PG but can actually shoot it. He is a smart kid with good character from what we can tell and comes from a good school. Grades are good, too. As to the local scene, the locals guys are getting attention. There is more energy to the locals than ever before. Also remember that some local kids don't want to stay local (see Tyler Cook). Why waste your time and energy on guys that don't really want you. Also, there are some kids that just won't cut it for one reason or another or won't fit in. Some of these kids are realized early on won't get attention from the staff. It's much like dating

The long and short of it is that McB was a turd. Not only did he dick over his teamate but he spent a lot of energy working against the staff - so much that we almost lost 3 players during Christmas Break - but they didn't have the balls to pull the trigger at the time. He didn't follow instructions and was a player that most coaches would not want to deal with. TL and McB were in their own world and were baggage. The staff got what they wanted in that they left. Easy as that.
