Kind of chicken and an egg complex isnt it? If they dont spend the money to make the program competitive with other programs how can they expect to make the money? You have to spend money to make money.

Academics should not be an issue since hes considering Harvard. Seems like the typical under the radar guy at this point given the list of schools he's considering.

To say he has few friends in the media is a stretch. The interviews I have heard this spring he has been very upbeat with the local media. Yeah he is no Spoonhour, who has never found a sponsorship that he doesnt like. Majerus is just not a spotlight type person, but I think his players genuinely respect him and he truly cares about his players.

I thought it was Hill that said the first offer he gets will really stick out to him. Maybe that was someone else though. Haith is recruiting backwards at Mizzou, trying to load up on 2013 guys, but has no one for 2011 or 2012 yet.

It appears the information they have been getting has been correct so far.

This year is so critical for the 2013 class which has a good amount of local talent. Another down year and they have little shot at these kids. I think most local kids dont look at last year as the norm, as what happened within the program was highly publicized within the area.

Not sure if Barnett fits the mold he is talking about. Barnett came from Toledo not Maryland. I really have no clue how sought after Barnett was when he decided to leave Toledo.

Seriously doubt Majerus hires a coach just to land one recruit, but if the guy is qualified go for it.

Maryland may stipulate as part of his release that he cant go to another ACC school.

I guess he could be the overseas recruit people have heard rumors about. If he comes to SLU I would probably just hold onto the other scholarship instead of using it on someone this late in the game. Assuming Winters is out of the picture, as he appears to have fallen off the map. His recruitment was strange anyway with the phantom commitment to Baylor last year.

He would be a nice addition to the front line. Big strong kid. He and Winters would be a great class this late in the game. Highly unlikely, but we can always hope.
