Here is what the deal is. Someone months ago said as much. The "Three" could have been playing all along. Scotty Rosenblum held them out of games, I guess for their own good. Goodwin's attorney did not hold him out, so he played. There was never anything recanted. Goodwin is going to continue to play, until forced not to. SLU was never holding anyone out of games. However, this decision is beyond insane. And will doom the program and lose Ford and Gordon. All because a white girl had a rich daddy and realized she regretted sleeping with some black athletes. SLU is a joke.

Some people on here were saying that the 3 not playing were not being stopped by the school, but by their attorney. I think now it appears that is the case. And the 4th player, his attorney was ok with him playing. And we know who that probably is and also know is then time to fold the tents.

Exactly. Or even if you take away the LaSalle game, we win all those others. With Rhody and Vatech being signature wins.

This team could have been an NCAA team this year with the full roster.

Pestello has proven beyond a doubt that he was horribly unprepared to be a full time president at a University of SLU's size with D1 Athletics. He has no idea how to handle this situation and is just terrified of the current climate of sexual assualts in hollywood etc. So his wagon is hitched to the liberal train hoping that he comes out looking like a hero, not realizing that he actually is appearing as a racist and a fool and more intolerant that tolerant.... I still maintain that all it would take is one major local media interview (elliot davis, chris nagus etc) with Freddy P and this would be over in 24 hours. He has had NO PRESSURE on him from the start to do ANYTHING.

If this is all true, take it to the media..TOMORROW...and this thing will be over by Friday. The only reason it drags on is no pressure/exposure. All it would take is a 15 minute spot on local news followed by a stltoday front page talking about hows its a botched injustice.

This was one of the best efforts I ever saw in person. What I wonder about is what the deal is with DJ Foreman. A few games this year he has looked amazing running the floor and dominant on top of that 1-3-1 zone, but then he vanishes for weeks. Not sure if it is matchups, injuries, etc but we need a lot more of tonights DJ this year and next. And is Elliot ever actually going to play?

I think as a few people mentioned the problem at this point is we all have been too passive. There is no media coverage, social media interest or pressure of any kind on SLU to resolve this. If the girls involved are white which is widely believed, this is a perfect hot button race issue for Black Lives Matter, Nancy Grace...etc..all kinds of groups and people that can start stuff. Lets get the word out...Call Elliot Davis and have him interview Freddy P. If this story blows up about how 3 young black men who have been charged with nothing are being treated, it can be resolved real fast if SLU feels the heat.

Man how bad does VATECH feel right about now...

They were not raped...Police do not take two months to file rape charges. The video showed there was no rape way back when the cops saw it.

Time to rant... This has utterly been the dumbest and most insane process ever. The police put this to sleep weeks ago. There is nothing to see here except boys being dumb and girls being drunk and horny. The only reason it continues in my mind is the race situation that was a similar issue in Situation 1.0 These girls and their families are trying to railroad the young men because they happen to have better tan then they do. That is all that is going on here. Perhaps girls should think twice before getting drunk and laying down with someone of another race. I don't mean to spout off but as a white man married to a black woman this is just silliness. If SLU messes this up it is going to curse the program for years. LET THE BOYS PLAY. Because at this point, nobody raped anybody..if they did..we would have charges, names, and mugshots....

But it seems that in game adjustments are still an issue. I trust Ford, I love what he has done, but he cannot be asleep at the switch. She stood up and started walking out when that last shot left his hand..knowing it would go in. Was that kind of night. Tonight we saw the reason why I doubted this hire and originally earned a troll label from diehards (after previously proclaiming that Crews needed to go). Last week I praised Ford. He earned that win over VATECH. The Providence game was a throw away with a tired team. But tonight, Ford really choked on it. And he had moments like this throughout his Okie State career. No in game adjustments. Ill prepared team. And horrible execution. Now a lot of it is on the players too, but if there was a game plan tonight, I sure didn't recognize it. Things sure went from the penthouse to the outhouse in 7 days. This Detroit team lost to Seattle by THIRTY POINTS. I mean come on. What a way to stink up your home floor... I love French and Foreman but they got manhandled by the big fat guy tonight. Time to hit the weight room again boys... Hines is a disaster and Goodwin is too flashy and out of control at times, and that caught up with him. Imagine if JJ didn't go off...we get blown out by this team. Western Michigan looks daunting now...

I remember all those games you mention vividly. I was at the Washington game and glued to the all the VCU and Butler games. This was the first time I felt like that since then as well. And Old Guy, yes indeed, I felt we would not hold on mainly due to the fact the refs were screwing us and we were running out of players. Thank goodness we did!
