According to Frank, Crespin was on campus yesterday and today so Carr might be waiting to see how that goes. Crespin looks the part but it’s scary that he is only 17 trying to learn how to play against seasoned bigs but that 3 point shot makes him hard to defend.

I agree mostly with the exception of Pickett starting over Jimerson. I think Pickett starts and will be subbed with Thatch or Hargrove depending who he is defending. Jimerson is subbed with Parker or Hargrove depending on who he is defending. Lot’s of good choices and they still have Thames, Kramer, and Hughes.

I am greedy I want both. There will be plenty of playing time plus next seasons with Pickett, Perkins, Okoro are gone with graduation and probably others looking for money. If they sign both the bigs they are going to take away some minutes. Even though Ford likes to play 8 I think he will have to adjust and play 10 because of the new transfer rule. St. B is a great example, play 5 guys and the rest of the players decide to leave.

Not so Brighton’s replying to your post is really rich. That Azz clown recently posted that he wished SLU would have ended the basketball program and kept the hockey program. He is a troll when it comes to basketball. We have to see the kids play before the freshman are judged. I like Thames he has good size and skill and his father was a great college player. Kramer is a 3 point threat and a defender. Perkins was a nobody to the A10 so consider the source. SLU is fully engaged in the NIL nonsense. May and Ford reacted quickly which is out of the norm with SLU. KicK back and enjoy this season it will be fun if a couple of stretch 4’s are signed. After that Ford has the NIL tools to get the same level of players that he has always gotten.

SEMO had a losing record last season but was much improved. Former Billiken Phillip Russell is on that team and had a 30 point game. I hope Clark will help them get to a winning record.

I want Bizjack and Potter. I am hoping since SLU was on Bizjack early that SLU has an advantage. It would really stink if Bizjack went to another A10 team.

Agree, Carr is different than Linssen and Traore so it could happen.

True with no one like him but our coach will play only one big or that has been his tendency. Also he will compete for minutes with Thatch, Hargrove, Parker, Perkins, Pickett, and Jimerson. If there is a match up problem you might see our coach try 2 bigs but he will sub for Okoro and that will be a lot of minutes. I hope he chooses SLU your post about Carr make me think he is the final piece of the puzzle to get SLU in the big dance if they stay healthy.

Similar to what SLU can offer though there will be plenty of playing time next season. I believe with Okoro being a senior that SLU should be able to sign 2 bigs.

I trust your opinions and expertise always and I agreed with you about Yuri. The whole ride with Yuri in the portal was a strange ride and SLU’s administrations tendencies to react does not have a good record. Chris May and Travis Ford continue to break through that I am confident SLU will be good for many years as long as SLU can keep both of them. Has anyone noticed that troll labs and bonner have crawled back under their rocks?

I did not have computers in high school. In college I created programs with punch cards. I learned basic programming with an Apple 2 E. Then there was DOS, and then windows 3.1 and I am now at windows 10. You mean adjust like that with college basketball players getting paid? Okay, thank you for the post.

We will see whether he will lead the team to an A10 championship. I hope so. I am an older guy that won’t hate on him but I won’t be cheering him either and that is okay. FYI, I won’t be buying any players merchandise, I pay for 4 season tickets, parking, snacks, and SLU merchandise that is enough. A SLU education is enough pay.

Respectfully to all the Billikens fans and Yuri Collins I am not excited by the news. In my opinion the fans always get the crappy end of the stick. Is Yuri staying because he is getting paid? I hope not because a SLU education is worth a lot of money. I would like to think that Yuri took one for the players like Curt Flood did for baseball free agency. I am happy for coach Ford the players and the fans that wanted Yuri back.

Respectfully what I think you are missing is the amount fans for the remaining schools fan base is greater than the total fan base of the schools that will be a pro minor league for the NBA. I figure 300 schools will remain in Division 1 basketball and 50 will be in the pro minor league. How popular is minor league games compared to college games? There will be competition between the minor league and division 1 basketball so the minor league will never have as many people watching as what the current division 1 already has. As it all unfolds it will be interesting to watch what happens. I will be at Chaifetz enjoying real college basketball student athletes that stay 4 years and get their degrees.

I agree, Jones came to SLU with 500 assists.

Thank you coach for posting your thoughts. I did not realize that there was any issues with Jordan Nesbitt. I did not know anything about Gordon other than rumors. I love the hometown kids so I do not like them transferring but as you said this is what college basketball is and I will have to adjust to it.

Respectfully disagree about working anything out with Yuri or any player on the fence. The hate talk must stop. I called Yuri a snake for taking fans money for stuff he was selling but the fans could cancel the orders so I was wrong and I regret calling Yuri that. In my opinion I do not want Yuri or players on the fence to stay on the team because of team chemistry. It is my belief that the team chemistry last season had issues and I think paying Yuri to stay would not be good.

I appreciate you and others moving forward with post like this thank you for the information. I need to get out of dumps and put my energy into looking forward for players that can help SLU and forget about those that left.
