Big blow for GW. 2nd in scoring, 3rd in rebounding, 2nd in assists for the Colonials. According to their fans, their biggest weakness was not having much depth especially in the backcourt (Savage is a guard). This will only hurt. He rolled his ankle in the final seconds of their game vs St. Bonaventure this weekend. Was really counting on GW to be a top 40 or so win.

I'll take the over on the Wiz's spread. Time to start blowing people out again.

Sometimes the A10 website shows games for free. Anyone know if that's the case for tomorrow?

The offense hasn't been very good but I just don't know that I'd say that the teams that are ranked behind us are better than us. But like others have said, it doesn't matter what we're ranked because if we can't get better offensively we won't get as far as we all want in the tournament.

I think we deserve our ranking. We may not have any huge wins yet, but I think that's more of a factor for NCAA Seeding and not your national ranking. We are here somewhat because of other teams losing, but it's hard to deny the team with the #1 defense in the country.

This is pretty accurate to me. I never had a problem with anything until everything got so nit-picky. It's a message board. If someone wants to say a team is winning or losing, it doesn't need to be mentioned that the correct terms would be leading or trailing. Combine that with my hatred of Mizzou and I felt the need to say something.

This isn't the A10 Message Board though. That's a board for the whole conference. This is a board for one team. Not a board for basketball in the state of Missouri. I believe that he would root for SLU over Mizzou. He's made that clear. But I just don't see why anyone would come to this board (billikens.com) and show support for a different team.

It really bothers me that there is no talk about SEMO in the Post Dispatch. SEMO is averaging 83 points a game, good for 18th in the country. They have 2 wins in their conference which is actually as many wins as another couple of teams from the state of Missouri has in their conference. They have a big game against an up and coming local SIUE team who also doesn't get any coverage, but I guess it's because they aren't from the state of Missouri. Jareikious Bradley, a junior from Memphis, leads the team with 21.5 ppg (12th in the country) and Tyler Stone, a senior from Memphis, comes in at 18.2 ppg and over 9 rpg. Although SEMO fell short in a 17 point loss against SLU, they actually went to Memphis and played them to a tight 12 point game. SEMO seems to have a strong connection with Memphis which relates to us because of our recruit, Davell Roby. They have signed a 6'5 guard from Atlanta, Georgia for next year and they look to be onto a 6'1 Point Guard from Memphis and 6'4 Small Forward from Chatham, Illinois. Personally, I think they need to see a lot more coverage, and not just because they are one of my favorite teams. They are a real up and coming team and they are extremely local.

Vitale does the game at the college gameday sites on Saturday nights so I don't think he'll be doing either of our games against VCU.

I'd like to hear Bob Knight be the color commentator for one of our games. He's not very good, but I'd like to hear what he has to say about a Jim Crews team

What decision? This isn't a Mizzou message board. Why would anyone come on here to support them? Coming on here to bash them is different. We do that with just about every team we play and a bunch of teams we don't play. Any thread supporting Mizzou is as off topic as a topic talking about a new restaurant opening up in Phoenix, Arizona.

I like how someone who has been on this board for a little more than a month tries to call you out like that like he knows how you've been posting on here for years. I agree with that. My post was more in jest. I especially agree that it's a lot better with no more Mizzou trolls. I have no problem if you want to be a Mizzou fan and a Billiken fan, but don't come to THIS message board and support Mizzou.

Not true. This team has been one of the best 25 teams in the country for 3 years now. Student section should be better. But they were at least improved today.

I'll take that from the student section considering the opponent. Lots of room to improve but better

I've always said that I'll take 300 of the loudest and most dedicated students at a game than a full student section of people who honestly couldn't care less about the game. It sucks for the dedicated fans that get pushed back to the 20th row because some group of seniors who are seeing the inside of Chaifetz for the first time take the first rows and then do nothing all game. Look at the game at Hinkle last year. That group of 100 students made consistent noise all game but Wednesdays group of 1000 students didn't do anything. I get the difference in opponent but when you have a top 25 basketball team, I would hope for more than just 900 people checking Facebook and Twitter all game. Let's not act like the student section was full on Wednesday solely because the team was good. Free food and prizes does a lot for students. They'd go to Barney on Ice for free food and stuff. And yes the rest of the fans aren't much better. But I do think they feed off the student section a bit. Don't forget the average age is about 86 years old though so don't expect the world from them. My section (208) is decent. I know there are multiple people from the board in there. Pretty sure there are only 2 groups of people on this board now. Those who complain and those who complain about people complaining. And billiken roy. Who is more MIA than Mike McCall.

I thought we were just discussing earlier this week about how we want a tougher non conference schedule? Why would we add Mizzou? I will say that I wish we'd play in the tourney (in a 4 vs 13 game) so we can beat them down and end all their talk.

- flyers are good. if the athletic department wants to waste money on something, make it flyers rather than balloons - I really like the video idea. Problem is, our athletic department would just post it on facebook and twitter rather than play it at the game. So then only the most dedicated people would see it and it wouldn't matter - i'd be fine with this. - exactly One of the reasons why I keep posting on here bashing the slunatics is that I know the athletic department reads this board. Hopefully they can talk to the "leaders" and either replace them or get them going. Also hope they take some of the ideas that are on here instead of doing the same thing every game.
