  1. I never saw the 10-6 prediction. Currently we are ranked 106th, with a conference prediction of 8-8. However, if you count the W's for the conference play, it has the billikens with 10 wins. And the Fordham game is predicted as a win (66-61). I've never understood what the exact difference is between the sum of the W's, and the predicted record at the bottom... (10-6 vs. 8-8)
  2. That's part of my point. We can stop a team from doing that if we can afford a more lenient perimeter defense. Otherwise, they will do exactly that.
  3. At this point, I think the bigger key is if they have good guards to complement their big guys. If they have a good balance, we have no way to stop it. That's the difference between the Portland/Missouri State games and the Northeastern game.
  4. I was looking at Ken Pomeroy's site this morning, and from what I can tell, he has our SOS as 22nd in the nation. I couldn't believe it. We also jumped 18 spots in his rankings just from yesterday's win. Also, Southern Miss was out-rebounded yesterday, I'm not saying we'll be able to pull that off though. I'm just praying that the Sikma Situation doesn't happen again.
  5. I predicted under, which it was, but barely. You predicted 75-60? I didn't understand that statement.
  6. Did we really just win by 22? AND score over 70 points?
  7. Well, actually, BELOW walk-on status with Eckerle in there. Ouch.
  8. Rammer says that there are exactly 10 Bills fans.
  9. "Benny Hill Basketball" 11:55 left in first half
  10. Jett with a jumper. 4-4 NE responds 4-6. Conklin post move lay up 6-6. Ellis block. Time out.
  11. According to Pomeroy's site, Northeastern gets blocked A LOT. Get Remekun in there
  12. The pre-game show is on 101 right now
  13. This should be a low scoring game. The over/under I saw was at 122.5 . Just from looking at the stats, it seems like they are suffering in similar areas as our Billikens. They don't have much production from their bigs, their rebounding is pretty bad, and their FG% is really bad.
  14. Seriously? You think mentioning how you watch the Big Bang Theory is going to help any argument you make?
  15. I really liked what I saw from Cassity, Jett, and McCall in terms of driving to the basket. I'm not sure if it is a long term strategy shift, but the three of them drove on the baseline over and over again. It is reflected in Jett and McCall's stat lines. Each of them had one assist. Cassity had 5 assists. I can't remember how he was distributing the ball though. Some posters have been arguing that Jett/McCall are or are not good passers. I think they are much better at attacking than they are at passing, so I'd rather them do that for the time being. We also shot 42 of 54 total shots from inside the 3-point line. I find that to be very promising, considering there is no Mitchell and Reed.
  16. Since you aren't playing us any longer, maybe you can squeeze Arkansas State in 3 times next year.
  17. If you think Duquesne is up there (they haven't beat a good team yet), then what do you think about LaSalle? I watched their game against Villanova, and they look much improved. I realize it was a Philadelphia rivalry game, but they took Oklahoma State to double overtime, and beat Providence.

  19. He means Dwight Evans. Correction: I didn't see that he called him Chris Evans last night. Sorry.
  20. I think there is a very noticeable difference in RL's toughness from the exhibition games to now. In the second half, CE looked different/better. I didn't catch the first half, and his numbers weren't great, but his stature seemed different in that second half. Hopefully he has turned the corner. I really don't think that JJ is ready to bring the ball up the court during a full court press, or even when we are setting up the half-court offense when he is alone in the back court. He doesn't protect the ball well enough. I was getting really frustrated when they were pressing Jett, and nobody was hanging back there to help him. I haven't been very confident with the lineups that RM has been throwing out there in late-game situations where we are winning. Cassity was sitting during half of that unbearable in-bounds sequence with 30 seconds left in the game.
