Agreed. What's going to help you more in the long run? A win against a lower tier BCS team (or even a midmajor like SIU) or a loss against the #1 team in the nation? If you want to compete with the best, you have to play with the best. End game should be for experience that will help us in March.

Yes. Finals run from the Wednesday before the game to the Tuesday after. So it's literally in the middle of finals week.

We effectively shut Curry down two years ago (albeit, it was 2 years ago when he was a freshman on a not-so-good team) but he led the nation in freshman scoring that year. I would guess we'll rotate several players on him. KC will get some time on him, as will CE assuming his defense has improved from last season. Depending his D, I could see putting DE on him too. Singler is not overly athletic, but he is very talented.

One thing is for sure: if we pull this game off, the national attention would be huge and the world will know that SLU has arrived.

The major different between this big three and the Celtics big three is that the celtics had a bunch of good bench and role players. That is not to say that Miami can't/won't sign some good players for the minimum salary, but the Celtics probably were much closer to the minimum roster size than Miami was at the same point. It's also a little bit different because Boston got their main guys through trades and not FA.
