  1. Power mad cowards? Covid is THE event of your lifetime. The vaccine is your ability to fight against it. This is your D-Day. The day your grandchildren would ask about. Did you join in the fight? Nope. Instead, you are sitting around thumbing your nose at authority like a beatnik, or, more likely, a coward.
  2. He was highest non-Perkins returning starter.
  3. What we need is a vigilante running around in the streets giving people the vaccine against their will. Like Batman. We can call this person: The Horseshoe Crab! Edit: Blue font (this note is necessary for the unvaccinated!)
  4. I don’t know. That may be the case, but it is hard to say. He has to beat out two Effective Juniors (Thatch and Gibson) to be the starting 2, or be more effective than Hargrove, and take minutes as the 3 (Pushing Perkins to the 4). I don’t think he is a stretch 4 defender right now. Since he was a good rebounder in HS, he has a leg up on Hargrove, but not Thatch. It will be interesting to watch who gets the nod.
  5. Perkins, Hargrove, Williams (or Jimerson), Deandre Jones, and then maybe Okoro. 5 players who can hit the three (near 40 percent or more each) and play at the same time, maybe. That said, the Williams and Jones tandem would be a turnover machine.
  6. If he can focus on rebounds and get to a decent enough rebounding average, he won’t come off the court.
  7. Probably a smart move to go to Grambling, their center will probably transfer one week into the season, at the latest.
  8. It’s LittleBills dad. I think we are all kind of reeling. It didn’t even seem like LittleBill knew.
  9. As of today, this looks like a pretty good fit. Let’s go JGood!
  10. Mmm hmm, and I can see the SEC saying: “how about we just merge with Clemson, Miami, FSU, and VT.”
  11. Another thing, the big 10 schools have higher enrollment, and quality degrees, than other conferences’ schools. Bigger alumni base that makes more money.
  12. I am glad they did. Kansas University’s fans deserve to know. Especially, the next time they get an urge to turn on SportsCenter. If I were them, I would boycott.
  13. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/31907406/big-12-alleges-espn-trying-destabilize-league-network-says-claims-no-merit It is funny, I had recently been wondering whether ESPN was behind any of this. They pay out the dollars to the conferences. They have an incentive to get rid of extra payments to extra conferences, and cut out the low performing teams. They also have an incentive to lock up teams in long term deals right now (ie. avoid an internet streaming apocalypse). Interesting. Edit: Fox had the Big 12, so maybe ESPN was trying to cut a competitor, to the extent Fox is a competitor.
  14. I keep hearing that the big 12 is dead, but if they act quickly and bring in a bunch of AAC schools (also BYU maybe), I don’t think they would die. Also, to bolster this, I would say that Cincinnati has the potential to be a powerhouse. They should have been in a major conference 15 year ago.
  15. Oh, do tell. We are all excited about troubling rumblings… Why tease this subject? Either say it or don’t. Now, we are all driven to find out the answer. Is Mac’s serving dog or something?
  16. This may be true, but I feel pretty ambivalent about it. I will follow the SLU team no matter where it goes. It might be fun to watch SLU win a national championship in a bifurcated league. I don’t really care. SLU vs. Alabama or Texas doesn’t really matter to me. Same with the rest of Football-it-dum.
  17. After thinking about it, I do not see why the SEC should stop expanding. Now that they have these teams, they should just grab Clemson, Miami, and FSU. Once that is done, Michigan and OSU, then USC. There are a few others to fall in line. End up with between 30-40 teams, with UND being the last team. Then they would be a minor league football group. Fully separated from the rest of the NCAA teams. They could basically set any rules they want. They could roll the football teams as separate entities from the universities, where the teams pay a fee for use of the logos. The players could major in Football, etc. etc. etc. This would make the SEC teams the most money, probably. Right now, schools might be scared enough to fall in line.
  18. I noticed the same thing. I would love to see a juxtaposition of the number drafted in the past, but not listed. There won’t be one though. Instead, I am pinning my hopes on the fact that that list was made by a 23 year old intern, and not anyone with any drafting or scouting responsibilities. I think Goodwin’s hopes really rely on some common sense. His level of rebounding as a guard is an outlier. His point guard experience is kind of an outlier. His wingspan is an outlier. The NBA draft loves outliers. You can go three deep at every guard position with a guy that scored 16 points and shot a high 3 pt percentage, but you won’t get a competitive advantage against your opponent. My guess is that the back room numbers guys like him.
  19. I want a Fred Thatch T-shirt. Billiken blue with his face on the front. Who doesn’t want Thatch gear?
  20. I normally don’t care about them, but I hope ISU a wins the national championship, and the rest of the big 12 start a massive run from here, to become the dominant football conference.
  21. Kramer looks like a Jimerson and Lisch hybrid. Has the best parts of both of their styles. I would love to see those two on the floor together.
